The Best 2 You Tubers EVER!! I get excited when you put new videos up. So both down to earth. There should be a part 2 for this podcast!! God Bless and Happy Thanksgiving ❤
Wow, not only did I find this episode amazing but I also joined your private membership right away ! What finally decided me was the way you transition towards quality and simple ingredients over processed. I'm so glad, it was the missing piece for me until now, the one that makes me a very steady subscriber of Sarah as well. Like her, we saw so much health and savings improvement with it. You two share such good content about groceries and frugal/simple choices ! Thanks a lot
Love watching you both! Love how each of you have various approaches to meeting your needs and show us that there is a method that will work for our unique families needs and goals.
It’s more expensive in the long run due to what eating processed foods do to your health over time. I had to give up all processed foods due to food allergies and intolerances. It happened over 2-3 years and I slowly started to notice how much better I felt. It’s not easy, but replacing processed foods with whole fresh foods will help anyone feel better health wise.
I am so glad to hear you say "high quality" dairy is so good. It is! I do not like store brand cream cheese. We have tried to melt shredded cheese but it doesn't melt. I will buy the blocks and shred it myself but the taste and quality of Tillamook is SO much better. We are going to start buying cheese from a farm that sells to local restaurants. It's just better.
I thaw meat for the weeks meals every Sunday. We always have meat in the fridge. I also habe a recipe binder that I pull recipe ideas from weekly to help make my menus. We have so much food in or cupboards, more than most of us know!
Having canned meat on the pantry shelves has been a huge saver for me if we are exhausted or one of us is sick and I can whip up a meat in no time. We do meal plan, but when I get sick, all the planning goes out the window. I have to have plans B-Z ready so my family can still have a healthy nutritious meal while I recover.
You should get her a binder and clear inserts to keep her favorite recipes since she only keeps list. Should message and ask her process. If doesn't use binder. Then this would be cute gift.
To the people thinking about running out of something, GOOGLE is your best friend for substitutions. Or try something similar.... like a different shape pasta or a starchy veg. But most anything is substitutable for something else.
Finger flashlights. They make higher quality ones for adults. How fun would that be lol. Rave!!!!! Kids come home. Lights are out. And mom is just going to town hahahaha
Love the podcast Christine, but unpasteurised milk comes with serious health risks, especially for children. It can carry Salmonella, E. coli and Listeria so it’s a shame to see it referred to as “higher quality” here.
When I'm discussing higher quality milk, I wasn't specifically talking about raw milk. I was referring to products with fewer ingredients and not really store brand items. There is a huge taste difference between great value heavy cream and this heavy cream I get from the local dairy farm. It's not raw, though. Sarah does purchase raw milk for her family but that's a personal choice for her.
Love seeing two of my favorite youtubers together!
I have recently started using raw. I was so pleasantly surprised. Love it.
Love watching both of you. Thank you.
Happy that the podcast is back, Christine!❤

As fit as Dave is, and as much as he clearly enjoys your cooking, go ahead and say you're feeding four teenage boys, LOL.
We all love yous!❤😉
You are still feeding a lot of people!
OMGsh - so glad you said the words 'thawed meat' because I need to get my turkey out of the deep freezer!!! 😨🦃
Yes to keeping it simple! Fix it and Forget it 5 Ingredients or Less cookbook is a good reference.
Favorite of yours. I will say Sarah's whole cow and some other meat, is not in her grocery budget, but a different budget
It’s “built in”
She uses the money from grocery cash rewards from Sam’s club, etc
❤❤❤
I love the Boulder Canyon potato chips!

18m-2.5 is the worst! Totally agree

👍 .. Kid chat.. Tween girls, wow, emotions & drama. Give me boys any day (2x the groceries, but 1/3 the stress). 😊

I believe you are misinformed.
Thaw the meat!!! That gets me in trouble every time.
The wads did sour dough bread with whipped honey in a mason jar as a gift idea.
Now I know why I've never watched Elf. I don't like stupid funny, either.
