Another great video! If it were me I would re-order another piece of fabric and ask your Mom to bring it over when she comes, if your not happy already then it's not going to be any better to TRY to make it work. Oh thanks for figuring out a way for us to get those charts from Brooks Books I need to run over and download them. Glad you are feeling better and able to stitch, loved the tour ! Happy Stitching!
Thanks so much for showing us all your wips! They look terrific! I’m so happy to hear about all the benefits you get for the baby. That’s great. And so very glad you are able to work in the field you want to! All good things ahead 💖
Loved seeing all your work. Thanks for the clips of Norway. I enjoy seeing where you live. Congrats on baby boy and enjoy both your little ones they grow so fast. A fellow cross stitcher in Cooksville, Illinois USA.😊
I just finished 3 Billy Goats Gruff! I bought it after I saw you take about it several months ago. My daughter also adores that fairy tale so I stitched it for her. You are right...lots of Goats! It was fun and glad I did it.
Hi Meghan! So happy to hear of your new little addition to your family! And did I hear you correctly that it is a boy??!! So exciting! Thanks for the update and take care 💜
Beautiful work. I think in the Long Dog Sampler I would start over. Not because it looks bad although it may not show the spacing as much, but because you are just not happy with it. The sampler is a lot of work to be questioning it and feeling that way from the very beginning. Anyway I hope you find your happy space with such a lovely project.
Great video and stitching. Congratulations on your new addition. My suggestion on the 32 count is to wait for the right fabric. I stitch full coverage on 32 count, which turns out fine, but years ago I did one of the Lavender and Lace angels on 32 count 1x1 and a lot of the details were lost. I’m afraid that might happen with the Long Dog.
Love your projects. For ironing linen I’ve had really good luck with a product called Best Press. It’s really good at eliminating wrinkles in the fabric. One caution would be to make sure your threads are colorfast.
I’m so sorry for your fabric loss 😢 I also tried 1over1 on 32 and I gave up because it was so tight to pull the floss and I hated working on it. I’m doing Ragnarok on 40 count to make it smaller but 1over2.
You have certainly been productive this month. I too have downloaded the 100 Owls pattern, which I believe is still a free chart on Owl Forest Embroidery… such a beautiful chart. I would not worry too much about being one stitch off since it is not noticeable at all. In certain cultures, those little “mistakes” are actually stitched on purpose. Recently I read a very interesting article on the Amazing Planet website relating to the art of deliberate imperfection - quite interesting, so don’t beat yourself up over being one stitch off since you will be the only one to know, which will make it all the more special to you. Always enjoy your Norway videos - thank you for sharing that with us.
You KNOW it’s going to be a great day when a video from YOU appears ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. You look GREAT and looking forward to updates on the new addition to your family💞. Going to watch now 🥳
Hello Meaghan! Great seeing your progress on wips and hearing your updates! Your Owls are looking great on your beautiful fabric! 😍 Love your Brooke's Books advent too! Your stitching is so neat and your fabric is sumptuous to and adds a wonderful texture to the overall picture of it! Regarding Ragnarok: if I were you, I'd get a 36 count and stitch 2 over 2 on the fabric color you chose originally. It is a lot of stitching to not be completely happy with it. The negative space of it is pretty important. Congrats again on your bebe! That's so cute he's a big boy already. 🥰 Do you know what you'll he naming him yet?
Hey Amber thank you! 🥰 Yeah I am going to restart Ragnarok, it just might be a while - you’ll be pulling ahead of me! You’re right about the negative space. No name yet, it’s hard finding one we both like that’s pronounced the same in English and Norwegian!
Hi Megan, thanks for your update. Lots of good progress as usual. I am impressed how much you get through with a young child to take care of too. Quick question - can you tell me the size of the piece of fabric you have for your advent calendar please.
I love your videos and I wanted to mention Vonna just did a video and she talks about linen and getting out wrinkles, it might be called fresh press? Your stitching is gorgeous and projects lovely too.
I agree with the others. Switch to another piece of fabric. Since the Long Dog is quite dense with all the stitches, you might want to consider using a plain fabric, rather than an overdyed one. Is there a reason for a light coloured fabric - what about the same DMC colour on that piece you got from the thrift store? Just be sure to figure out what count it is, and make sure both directions are the same. Congratulations on your pregnancy. Because you have been pregnant before, the female body stretches a bit easier and more, so it makes sense that you are bigger now than with your daughter. I'm glad your work situation has allowed you to have more time at home. Canada has some pretty good benefits for parental leave as well. Happy stitching!
Great progress on your beautiful projects. I'm worried you loose maybe on the long dog the really small motives. And I don't know mostly long dog has a little bit backstitching (not showing on PK). And maybe that is hard to see. Have a good day.
For me, every piece I make has mistakes in it and it still looks fine and nobody knows. Holly Hobby turned out perfect. The frame is old, but so is Holly Hobbie. The frame could’ve been new and accidentally got scratched anyway . And Holly Hobbie looks gorgeous !! ❤
Wow, you've been stitching up a storm. I can never get through a 24 hrs either, 16 seems to be my limit. We've all been there with the fabric. I don't think I could do 1x1 on 32, I do it on 28 without a problem. I'd say frog and do something else on the fabric. I'd be willing to send you some heat. We're hitting 30s with the humidity.
Hi Meghan! So many projects you have worked on since your last floss tube! Great stitching on all of them. Congrats on your FFO of Holly Hobbie. Really great progress on your WIPs and new starts. So sorry pregnancy brain has affected your stitching calculations resulting in not being able to use the piece of fabric you want to unless you stitch it over 1. That is a pretty dense LDS so I would be concerned about the details being lost. Is there a way you could divide it in half and stitch it as 2 pieces instead of one, hanging them one above the other? How do you feel about stitching 1/1 on that count? I would never be able to do that personally plus there is the chance of the frog coming to visit. I tried to rip out 1/1 on 32 count before and I could not do it at al but perhaps you have experience at ripping things out on 32 count and could manage it. Nice to see progress on Villa Lorna, feel like it has been a while. Great progress on all your baby stitching. Wow, how wonderful that you are able to work a couple of days of week and feel so much better with no having to work full time at a job you didn't like and was grueling for you mentally as well. The U.S. is so antiquated in its maternity leave and pay. Beautiful scenery and that is some really fast moving water! Thanks so much for sharing. Hope you continue feeling better and better as your pregnancy progresses. Happy stitching.
Thank you so much! That's a great point about the potential of frogging on 32 count over 1. I have decided to restart, and have been trying to frog what I did so I can re-use the fabric - it is NOT fun! Very slow going, but I think eventually I can manage it. Yes, I feel SO much better with the change in the work situation. And my stitchy bug came back! Happy stitching! 😀
I think you should do over. Like others have said, I too think detail will be lost and you already sound sad about it. Redo and enjoy it better. :) I been tempted to get Peeking Jesus too. 😂
The view from the water to land is a very unique perspective. Love the icy blue clear waters.

Yeah, I decided to restart it, such a pain to frog though so I can redo it! 😅 yes, go get the patterns! 😄

Congrats on your finish! Wow, that was fast! I hope your daughter loves it! 🥰
Could you do the Long Dong in two parts? If the break is at a natural place might make it look kinda cool and unique?!
Ohh interesting!
Yay! Congratulations Mama! ❤
Thank you! 💕
A fun video. So happy to hear you are in a better place and have some time to breathe. Take care and enjoy your stitching. x
Thank you! 💕

What a beautiful area you live in! X

And what an amazingly beautiful country Norway is! Thanks for sharing it.
Oh cool!
I’m so sorry for your fabric loss 😢 I also tried 1over1 on 32 and I gave up because it was so tight to pull the floss and I hated working on it. I’m doing Ragnarok on 40 count to make it smaller but 1over2.
Thank you, and yeah, it's tough! I have been thinking of doing it on 40 count, too!
The 100 Owls turn out so so so good! Looking forwards to seeing your progress on them

Wow..
So much progress!! Well done🎉 I really liked your FFO and I sure your daughter will love it! With linen, the wetter is the better for ironing😒😒😒
Thank you! And good to know 😊

Hi Megan, thanks for your update. Lots of good progress as usual. I am impressed how much you get through with a young child to take care of too. Quick question - can you tell me the size of the piece of fabric you have for your advent calendar please.
Thanks! I have 28x30 inches on 28 count 😊
@@stitchingmoon Thanks Megan. I love the piece but had no idea how to work out the size of fabric 🤣🤦🥳
I love your videos and I wanted to mention Vonna just did a video and she talks about linen and getting out wrinkles, it might be called fresh press? Your stitching is gorgeous and projects lovely too.
Oh perfect, thank you! 😊
There was one person I saw at Stitch North that was stitching a long dog 1 over 1 on 56 count! It is double.
Wow!! Insane 😯😄

I think you need to order another piece fabric. You have so many doubts now. And long dogs are an investment in time.
Yes, I decided to restart!
