As someone born in ‘91, these really bring back memories. I’m fully aware that most aren’t objectively good figures, which is why I mostly collect vintage and TVC, but these are what I grew up with so they hold a special place in my heart. I’ve slowly been picking up my childhood favorites.
Some of these figures are great. Now all, but certainly some. The other good thing about the POTF is that you can pick these up at very low prices. The Speeder Bike, which is the same mold and functionality of the original ‘83 model can be picked up for just $15. It’s worth taking a look and using some of these as army builders.
I collect the POTF2 Vader, Luke X Wing pilot and more recently, Obi Wan, all Long Saber card variants only. As for Vader, I have the US red, GIG Italian, tri logo with THX leaflet, tri logo without THX leaflet and, US red card short saber/long tray transition card. The one that continues to evade me here in the UK is the Canadian long saber. I’ve only seen one for sale on eBay, and that was in the US. The Luke Canadian long saber evades me also - plenty of short saber but not long 👍🏻
As a child who grew up on vintage Star Wars toys, I also lived through the SW drought from '85 -'95. I hunted and still have a good majority of the US POTF2 lines. Much happier with TVC now.
Nice set. Those curved cards are flattened with a carefully placed heavy book. Guerre Stellari are cool and the Boba Fett Guerre is especially HTF ! I have both Italian Vader and Fett and graded of course. RIP David Prowse.
@@ActionFigureGrader i first met David Prowse in 1999 with Jeremy Bulloch and Catherine Blaikston who played Mon Mothma. Prowse did a reenactment of the Tantive IV scene ..choking Capt Antilles
I believe THX was setup by Lucas and was used to improve the sound quality of the re-release of the original trilogy films in cinemas, the figures were packed with the leaflets to help promote the films, more info can be found here: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/THX
Cool video, very informative. I have a bunch of POTF2 stuff in my collection and I'll probably do some videos about it in the future. Once again, nice job!
@@ActionFigureGrader yeah i think it was a con exclusive, i have seen some POTF2 con exclusives that have the actors photo on the card instead of the character hologram

9:05 Scot Sorensen is my dad…. 😂
His knowledge of potf2 is incredible
I have all the original orange cards. These are really fun to collect. They're cheap so it's nice to get the bigger hauls.
Thanks for watching!
Great collection of Vaders!
Get to da choppa!!

Great Vid mate. Not sure about the impression though! 😂 Love collecting these graded as well.
Haha yeah not my best work there.
I have a collection also🤘🏽
Awesome! Thank you for watching!
POTF2 is slowly growing on me, not sure why :-)
It certainly is an acquired taste for some of these. I like Boba and Bossk the best of the line.
Get to the choppa😂😂😂
I'm such an idiot.
I Have the flash back 1999 Darth Vader
And I collect power of the figures too
Thanks for watching!
Is it rare to find a unmasked vader with a clear lightsaber? I found one that has no color
Yes I think that is extremely rare!
What's that signed green card vader that has an image of vader with fire??? 😵😵😵😵
I wish I knew! Seller sold it and didn't get back to me when I asked. Probably a convention exclusive. First time I had ever seen it.

@@edluchuk4717 Yes I have the Philly Toy Expo Boba and have seen a few others. I will have a video on that subject next week.
