I understand the point Kanye was trying to make. However, he worded everything in the absolute worst way possible. It also seems like Kanye is pushing to be extremely controversial, which i think is why he worded things the way he did, said things he said, and wore what he’s wearing. His intention was to make this interview blow up and reach as many people as possible. However, i dont think it worked as well as he intended, and i think he went way overboard with controversy and just made himself look real bad. And i think his message/idea he is trying to express, is that satan is the root of all evil. And i dont think Kanye agrees with the horrible things Hitler did, but he feels compassion, love, and empathy towards everyone, even people who do horrible things, because people are innately good beings, but can be persuaded to evil by satan. Which i dont necessarily agree with, but i understand that is what he believes, and in that sense, i understand his compassion towards Hitler. His message is to love everyone. And i think they way he expressed that in the interview was horrible, and worded it in a way that was designed to spark controversy. Which i think was not the right strategy. I feel for Kanye, because i think he is a good person, and i think he has good intentions, but he clearly is unable to see how people see him, and doesnt understand that he is ruining himself. I am diagnosed bipolar 1 with psychotic features and I will be the first to tell you that he looks manic as fuck. In my experience, a manic episode is like being forced to do crystal meth every day until you either end up in the hospital by force, go to jail, or die. Sometimes psychotic mania can resolve itself, but for me and most of the people that share my diagnosis, it usually will indefinitely get worse every day until it's treated. The problem with mania in this analogy is that you wouldn't even know that you're ingesting the meth. Even if you did know, there is essentially nothing you can do to stop it. Days go by one after another, not even touching your bed for a second and then after a few days, you start to hear some weird things and then see some weird things. After three or four days of this you are in a full blown psychotic episode where you don't make any sense to others and you "know" for a fact that nothing is wrong with you because you feel better than ever. This will continue to get worse every day until one of the previous outcomes happens. Everyone is different though and I only can speak from what I've experienced from living with psychotic bipolar and being five years in recovery from addiction. Meth is the closest thing to mania ive seen, but a high dose of cocaine or Adderall on no tolerance might be at least somewhat comparable for those of you who are lucky enough to have never tried meth or who have been in manic psychosis before before. I'm not saying it's okay for him to say these things because it absolutely is not, but I want to at least try to bring context to his behavior. I'm a bit tired of being associated with and compared to this interview whenever I tell someone new. The worst it ever gets for me anymore is hypomania and my worst symptom that I get is writing long blocks of text like this because I take my meds every day. That's literally the worst it gets for me nowadays.

Interesting, but I still like to see the full interview, because this interview is pretty entertaining to watch.
I am diagnosed bipolar 1 with psychotic features and I will be the first to tell you that he looks manic as fuck. In my experience, a manic episode is like being forced to do crystal meth every day until you either end up in the hospital by force, go to jail, or die. Sometimes psychotic mania can resolve itself, but for me and most of the people that share my diagnosis, it usually will indefinitely get worse every day until it's treated. The problem with mania in this analogy is that you wouldn't even know that you're ingesting the meth.
Even if you did know, there is essentially nothing you can do to stop it. Days go by one after another, not even touching your bed for a second and then after a few days, you start to hear some weird things and then see some weird things. After three or four days of this you are in a full blown psychotic episode where you don't make any sense to others and you "know" for a fact that nothing is wrong with you because you feel better than ever. This will continue to get worse every day until one of the previous outcomes happens.
Everyone is different though and I only can speak from what I've experienced from living with psychotic bipolar and being five years in recovery from addiction. Meth is the closest thing to mania ive seen, but a high dose of cocaine or Adderall on no tolerance might be at least somewhat comparable for those of you who are lucky enough to have never tried meth or who have been in manic psychosis before before.
I'm not saying it's okay for him to say these things because it absolutely is not, but I want to at least try to bring context to his behavior. I'm a bit tired of being associated with and compared to this interview whenever I tell someone new.
The worst it ever gets for me anymore is hypomania and my worst symptom that I get is writing long blocks of text like this because I take my meds every day. That's literally the worst it gets for me nowadays.
