And it has the same problems as sliders for 49 bucks.. Yes, it FEELS good. But overall we are looking for the final result, not only the feeling.
hey Devin, are you blind? at 5:46/49 in your video the camera passes over the junction and the shot has an incredible bump. It is like this every time you step on the junction !! It's not news to me, I bought this slider also because of the reviews I saw on youtube. The worst purchase of the year! it just doesn't do what it promises. I use it with a 10 kg weight RED DSMC2 camera (less than half the stated limit) and the slider is not able to maintain shape and rigidity. When it passes over the junction, there is a noticeable rotation of the image due to the failure of the slider. I tried, after the manufacturer's suggestion, to support the slider on all the bases on the slider with wooden wedges and also with three stands or tripods but the defect is still there. I also tried to place it directly on a billiard table, without using feet so that it rests directly on the bases, but nothing better. Simply the slider does not seem to be able to support this weight! If you have a camera heavier than 6/7 kg, don't buy this slider!!!!
oh yeah, exactly for some free space I have in my backpack, between couple of DSLR's, couple of tripods, couple of lenses, batteries and stuff. Unless I'm shooting a feature film I can get away with cheap Chinese slider for under 100 bucks.
$1000-1500 for an over-built camera slider with a snazzy name. Seeing pro-grade equipment shown-off is nice sometimes though I'd hardly call this a 'travel' dolly- unless you're part of a large film crew travelling in a large RV, coach or truck etc. :-/

Slider....that's a slider. Dolly has wheels on a track which can mount low-hats, tripods, jibs etc.
dolly refers to the type of movement not the system used
