I have a cookie monster acro in my tank, also know as acropora sarmentosa. Probably my favorite coral in the tank. Has amazing color and a suttle, unique growth pattern when compared to other acropora.
Amazing - glad you mentioned the Snowdrop is tabling - one thing that annoys me is you only see the frag and then have to research what a colony can look like. I wish more coral sellers would give better info on acros - Coral Euphoria does an amazing job. Great to see the colors you love are similar to what I love.
Great list. I would add the Orange Passion and the Home Wrecker to my list. Walt Disney is definitely my favorite from your list followed by the Optimus Prime. Weekly watcher. Thank you for your videos.
The research that you do helps out us newbies so much. Not that I’m copying your stuff but it makes it much easier making up my mind simply because you give us a focused explanation of each a long with care notes.
I found this video because I wanted to know how to pronounce Acropora Yongei. I discovered this because I was looking for a good name for a D&D coral based creature. It's fascinating and kind of wild to see there are serious and popular RUclips channels solely devoted to coral. Good on you all for bringing rank enthusiasm to a relatively niche interest.
I have had issues with acros in the past but in the last 12 months have had success and all 7 of mine have come from WWC. I'm only an hour and a half away.
Ill probably be ready for acros 2 years into the tank being established. For some reason starting with dry rock makes it very hard to start with any sps even if you keep everything super stable.
if you check out the reef2reef forums, they've talked about this pretty extensively. Theres a pretty vast difference in the build up of bacteria and microfauna in live rock vs what you'll see from dry rock for, coincidentally, about two years.
Not a fan of SPS in general, but it is a sign you have your stuff together. So with that... Acros are the only ones I currently have. My favorite is ice breaker. BUT that hay maker... oh my.
Wow we the same taste in coral because I have all but 2 of those frags and not to many more than that in my reef. Nice job, I just wish you would've thrown a colony pict up with the frag so people could really see what these puppies look like.

I personally like the Pink Floyd acro but as to your list.. I go with Haymaker. Or a tabling acro. I am very near putting corals into my newest tank and as it is a cube I will llimit it to 3 acros as it is my first endeavor into them..

I’ve got a few of these, sometimes I get lucky and grab an “accidental frag” when I go into wwc to get water. They are my LFS, and I sometimes drive up to TSA and LRO too
My Tank is a little over a year old and I was wondering if this is too early for an acupora. I have been fighting types of algae so the free give away would help very much!

I‘ve been keeping fish for around 30 years and am still fairly new to reefing, and I have been soaking up all the info I can get while I’m setting up my 120 reef tank. I just finished stocking acropora. From 50 to 300 per frag. I sold some children for medical experiments. I overstocked a little bit. Survival rate is 100% and everything has encrusted into place except for the crowned jewels which arrived yesterday. Its really been an undramatic adventure other than staring constantly at the tank and getting nose prints on the glass. I hope it stays that way. FYI: 300 for Mojo Man frag the size of the tip of my pinky finger. It arrived and opened its polyps first thing. Ah yes. My mother-in-law, who lives in the living room by day, thinks that the flowers and plants are beautiful in the aquarium and her hobby is finding the sea hare every morning to make sure that its alive. She's rather non-invasive.

I picked up the Bill Murray acropora for $60 :) it's absolutely beautiful.. Can't wait for it to grow out.
