It's a weird pattern I'm seeing. Teachers going through a hard time. And the adults would rather fixate on a political grudge. Every word out of their mouth is about Biden or the "Woke Media." I grew up in a small town. And this was very common. Nothing got done. But they antagonized their own neighbors a lot.
I majored in animation 4 years ago because I have a love for storytelling and art. When i started applying to jobs I was appalled that practically every employer at the large studios had lgbtq propaganda in their bios. Why in the world are we allowing our children to watch their content if all they’re doing is indoctrinating our kids with values against Christian beliefs. I got discouraged and although i still draw and write, I didnt do anything with the degree. I got discouraged, I suppose because i didnt want to join a studio pushing gender and race theory and all that bs. Perhaps one day I can be a part of a studio such as PragerU, as an illustrator or designer.

Please read the SCOTUS opinion on Brown vs Board of Education. It is well documented why segregated environments are damaging to children. The doll study is especially famous and illuminating about the negative impact of segregation on the self image of a child. A child without a healthy self image will not learn. So all of the rote learning of facts will not penetrate because fundamentally the child knows that she doesn't really matter in that society. Read. The information has been available since the 1950s.

I had several in-depth conversations with my children and didn't notice anything unusual. I think many people are just jumping on the bandwagon. NY state has a well funded education system that pays their. Yes, Christopher Columbus and the Europeans *thought* that the aboriginal people in North America were “ not civilized”, but that doesn’t make it true. The North American aboriginal people had very rich cultures, and in some aspects were far more civilized than Europeans. It’s clear the people making these videos (PragerU) and pushing the videos are fragile snowflakes because the truth scares them. People who look different than them scare them. The answer is school choice. The money for children's education should follow the children. My children are homeschooled, but we don't get the reimbursement like the school down the street. My wife is a qualified teacher so why, when my children go down the street for school, the instructors get paid, but when they stay home, my wife isn't. The government wants to incentivize parent surrogacy with State Authorized Agents (teachers). That's why the government and the teachers unions hate school choice.

Strengthening the federal Department of Education would be helpful. A national system might create more equal academic outcomes than the current patchwork of state Departments of Education. I fear that some red states actually don't mind having undereducated residents. College educated citizens are more likely to vote blue, and less likely to get stuck in low wage jobs without benefits.

I work in a middle school and occasionally ask my students what they are being taught regarding this type of stuff. They say it’s not that they are being told anything about gender, but moreso there’s an accommodating culture that teachers will respect if a student informs them of preferred pronouns. This channel teaches pre-schoolers all the basics, counting, letters and their sounds, shape and what you can make with them, and yes when she is showing the kids how to make the sounds of the letters cause it is a close up of her mouth it is kinda creepy. But your kids will know how to say the letters and sounds in no time. If you just want your kids to learn the basics put Songs for Littles on for the kids in kindergarten.

Because race is such an undercurrent in many aspects of our society, if you are not talking against racism, the students are absorbing negative information subliminally without the tools they need to dismiss the negativity. Those subliminal messages usually lead to students turning that negativity against themselves in a kind of self loathing. So they might start to agree with what the society seems to be telling them about who is a criminal, who is a failure, who is not smart, etc.

Please read the SCOTUS opinion on Brown vs Board of Education. It is well documented why segregated environments are damaging to children. The doll study is especially famous and illuminating about the negative impact of segregation on the self image of a child. A child without a healthy self image will not learn. So all of the rote learning of facts will not penetrate because fundamentally the child knows that she doesn't really matter in that society. Read. The information has been available since the 1950s.

My twins graduated from a public high school in suburban New York this year. As an involved parent, I asked them daily about what they learned in school. I reviewed their class notes and met with their teachers during parent-teacher conferences. When their friends visited for playdates or after sports events, I spoke with them as well. I had several in-depth conversations with my children and didn't notice anything unusual. I think many people are just jumping on the bandwagon. When my kids were in high school, we discussed 'woke' theories and other topics that are often talked about on TV. They believed that people tend to exaggerate these issues.

Yes, Christopher Columbus and the Europeans *thought* that the aboriginal people in North America were “ not civilized”, but that doesn’t make it true. As an Oklahoma parent, I’d like to remind others here, who do not want their children subjected to PragerU propaganda, that homeschooling is constitutionally protected here, and there are no curriculum requirements for homeschooling families.
I wouldn't want my kid subjugated to any propaganda, but here we are with our kids mostly subjected to 'approved-by-government' leftist propaganda on everyone's (including conservatives) tax dollars. Agree that home schooling would be best and a cut-off of my tax dollars taken to grow stuff I am against.

The answer is school choice. The money for children's education should follow the children. My children are homeschooled, but we don't get the reimbursement like the school down the street. My wife is a qualified teacher so why, when my children go down the street for school, the instructors get paid, but when they stay home, my wife isn't. The government wants to incentivize parent surrogacy with State Authorized Agents (teachers). That's why the government and the teachers unions hate school choice.
More people need to get involved with who's behind teaching students! I believe teachers should be interviewed on THEIR belief systems & experience in education! Why does she think we are being shown that we have no hope? Why can't we talk about the black and brown and minority struggles? I learned about it and I never was told I am a victim. I wish I told that people can and will treat me differently though cause I couldn't tell that I was as a kid. I was told I "speak and act white" just because I speak like most people. My mom is English I have no choice lol. I never knew about "black wall street" and how black business was BURNED TO THE GROUND and now people are STILL UPSET that we like to support black business! Strengthening the federal Department of Education would be helpful. A national system might create more equal academic outcomes than the current patchwork of state Departments of Education. I fear that some red states actually don't mind having undereducated residents. College educated citizens are more likely to vote blue, and less likely to get stuck in low wage jobs without benefits.

I work in a middle school and occasionally ask my students what they are being taught regarding this type of stuff. They say it’s not that they are being told anything about gender, but moreso there’s an accommodating culture that teachers will respect if a student informs them of preferred pronouns. Best internet kids education/ entertainment is Ms. Rachel on Songs for Littles. This channel teaches pre-schoolers all the basics, counting, letters and their sounds, shape and what you can make with them, and yes when she is showing the kids how to make the sounds of the letters cause it is a close up of her mouth it is kinda creepy. But your kids will know how to say the letters and sounds in no time.
If you just want your kids to learn the basics put Songs for Littles on for the kids in kindergarten.

(Btw biblical slavery actually was different from Israel. They were more like indentured servants and there were laws about abusing slaves, they were free after 7 years. Hebrews and Egyptians had a different slave and slave holder relationship, 400 years of abuse until God delivered them.)

Also, the institution of slavery was in direct contradiction to the founding principles of the nation. Kids need to understand the failures of the past so they aren't repeated.

There is only so many teaching hours in the school year. If you want your child to have a more expensive education on world history, then fill your boots. But don’t demand that all children learn it at the expense of them learning the basics, like math and reading.
