It is definitely a blessing to see Destiny Henderson achieve her goal and help bring South Carolina to another victory and knowing that she is the first woman to do it in the dumbar community area that I am from and played with my daughter cherrelle rock on Destiny

I’ve been a UConn fan since I was a little girl watching Taurasi. Although it didn’t pan out in their favor, I’m so happy for Dawn for creating her own dynasty and these young ladies being a key component in that. Congratulations to the Lady Cocks 🙌🏾😉💜

Dawn always thinks of the collective all women basketball players. I've been a fan of hers since her college playing days. She is a very humble person. That's what makes her a true winner in life! I have so much respect for her & what she's doing for the sport. 🙏 I believe eventually she'll leave college coaching for the WNBA or NBA Coaching if they give her a great contract! But for now her focus is still at South Carolina WBB Program. 🏀 She's a Ambassador, Legend & Icon. I look forward to seeing what's next for her in this lifetime. A woman without limits is admirable & unstoppable! Setting her intentions high of herself & her team.

She offers players who are deserving of offers to play for South Carolina based on TALENT and if you would actually take a moment to review who she has offered, you'd discover your "vanilla ice cream" comment is incorrect. She offers plenty but she can't force them to come here if they prefer to play elsewhere. And Olivia and E are both white last time I checked and they both rocked the Garnet and Black. Regardless of color of skin, all of Dawn's players are sisters.

Destiny Henderson is the best guard in the country. She is quick, can handle the ball well, good vision seeing the open team mate. When she perfects her outside shot in the WNBA she will be great. Ms. Boston is a great player. She is not that athletic but uses her skills to do the best she can, which makes her great.They might repeat next year. Dawn Staley is truly a North Philly product. Highly intelligent coach. She and Geno will be beating in many more of these championship games.

Dawn just flat outcoached Geno. And built a team that suited her style better than Geno did. South Carolina and UConn were about equal in recruiting talent (UConn probably still has slight edge)
nah SC has a huge edge with recruiting. SC has 11 McDonalds all start on the team. No college team has ever had this.

Now compare that to SC:
Boston was No.3, Henderson was No. 6, Saxton was No. 47, Cooke was No. 4, Amihere was No. 10.
Several of SC"s highest ranked recruits barely saw the floor this year so they weren't factors in this game.
I'm trying to say Dawn has elite talent like Geno, but she's a better developer of talent.

Hats off to Dawn and the Gamecocks. When you open up the record book, Uconn dominates. Geno is the best there is and there's not a close second. His record and 11 Nattys speaks volumes. Nobody will come close to matching that. Watch out for Uconn next year.

Would have been awesome to have her back one more year but she's gonna kill it in the WNBA for sure. Awesome news that Victaria Saxton decided to come back! And the transfer we picked up from GT will add depth and experience to the PG position since Raven had to miss playing bc of her injury. No doubt we will run it back in 2023!
