Happy New Year !!! That was some fireworks show. We had a nice view in Warsaw from my daughters apartment. It was intense but not as intense as you had it on the Rynek :) Next year I think you could film from your balcony all the fireworks around Kraków :)

The irony is, it is not even midnight where I am...I plan to bring in the new year in a quiet bubble bath (probably Nina's preference as well), instead of in the midst of noise, smoke and chaos, but loved watching it on video. Thought you might have gone to Zakapane. Krakow is my love! So, HAPPY NEW YEAR! On another note, do you and Nina use the bicycles you bought at the outdoor market over a year ago? I ask because I will be coming to Krakow in the Spring and wondered if you wanted to sell one of your bikes? One more question-is Filthy restaurant on Bracka or Weglowa?
I try to post quickly as for many who want to be here but can't be it's nice to share the experience - we'd do live streaming but vid quality can be hit and miss. We were very close to going to Zakopane - the concert there on tv last night was incredible. Zakopane planned for later this month. We do have the bikes still - remind me closer to the time you visit!

Fortunately, the Polish New Year celebration is over, and no firecracker has flown into my flat. I was lucky (lots of them flying close to the balcony). The key to surviving this night might be to hide in the basement. Together with one's pets. :(

Thanks - it was a heck of a bang, I physically felt the blast. Personally, I think it spoilt the night for a lot of people - the crowd dispersed quickly and it was scary for some. It created a big space in the crowd. Kinda changed the atmosphere from one of excitement into something more sinister.
@@planetkrakow Igniting something like that there is very stupid and dangerous because these firecrackers should only be ignited outdoors. They are also no longer allowed for normal people in Poland because it is category 4 and you can do a lot of nonsense with it. I hope you had a nice time in Krakow Many greetings from Libertów 💯💪🏽
Happy New Year !!!! This was probably the last New Year's Eve with fireworks. Due to the suffering of birds and animals such as dogs and cats, a new law is to enter into force in 2025. Shooting firecrackers and fireworks will be prohibited. And what is your opinion on this subject ?
