Great watch from a great company. Marc is producing quality at affordable prices. Many of the models are the Seiko you always wanted but had to mod in order to get.
Shame you didn't connect with the watch and that it didn't wear well for you. It looks pretty solid though and the lume is pretty good too. But if you don't connect, you don't connect.
Good review. Just saw this on his website. This video did a good job showing the details on the hour and minute hands. Keep up the good work. Might be my first watch to buy as well.
I have considered checking out this model. Great price for what you get, reliable Seiko NH35, 100m, sapphire on both sides, AR coating (some at least) on the bottom. As you say not a cream tint of white but a nice stark white, which i can appreciate. Lume is not great although that is a byproduct of black Superluminova. But with the combination of white dial and black indicies/numerals, having black lume helps the hands and numerals pop against the white background. Something personally I can appreciate as a design choice. Too often I see white dial watches with white or green/cream painted lume that fads together too much. The ISL-84 as soon as I saw it reminded me of the white-fully lumed dial Fortis Spacematic. (edit: realized i spelled spacemaster, which is a Ball watch model. such a similar name to Fortis')
I opted for the isl 54 and love it so much I will get the white dial as well. Black lume is not the best lume but I get it as far as the design goes and I think it will be a nice addition to my collection. The case also fits very well on my wrist and I sometimes forget that I have it on.
Hi everyone, thank you for checking out the video. Don't forget to like and subscribe, and most importantly, let me know, would you buy this Islander?
Good looking watch Marc is killing it

It doesn't look too big on your wrist...
Yeah I know it just doesn't feel right somehow
I like mine.
