YOOO, I THINK JEFF WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE SUBCONSCIOUS OF THE ORIGINAL SNIPER KILLER TRYING TO GIVE HIM A WAY OUT. Think about it. Comardy found mail in the basement all addressed to Jeffrey Gabriel at 2:35:47. meaning that this was "Jeff's House" Jeffrey Gabriel. The sniper killer. The monster turns the people into empty shells, their consciousness trapped in a void. the phone was your or Jeffrey Gabriel's subconscious trying to reach you and free you or himself. the basement is the only place you dont remember existing. it was always there. he just didnt have the will to open it yet. I wish you would've checked those other two rooms in the house before the last sniper mission

Okay, so here's my theory:
-The sniper killer is multiple people, or the role is passed down through the entity that you face at the end of the game. The killer that you play as in the beginning has only been the killer for a relatively short time (based off the messages from his voicemail box), and detective comardy becomes the next one after being exposed so deeply to the entity. I'd also assume the voice in the walky(and other mediums) is actually the entity in question

Regardless of why exactly the entity spreads the chaos that it does, what's important to know in context is how it spreads said chaos as well as the kinds of people that it chooses to be the next killer. Both comardy and the first killer seem to have their own personal views of justice while being under the influence and control of the entity, which is probably the basis of how said entity goes about conditioning each killer before fully putting them under control (hence the reason there's a sniper in the other dimension that you end up using). Comardy probably wasn't talking because he became a hollowed slave, kind of like the bodies you see in prison in the basement leading to the other dimension (where they can also be seen being of use to the entity)

Im 29 and engaged Berlin . But please address this next vid because I got the lore for you. When Jeff is leaving all them messages , on the last mission as the detective, the mail at his house is addressed to Jeffrey . The killer is the guy on the voice mails , it's his conscience trying to bring him back to reality but instead of listening he calls him annoying and listens to the demon inside of him. Jeff is the sniper killer

This game had so much lore! I was shocked with how many characters from other games there were, including hobo jo and even the pizza guy from blood wash. And that schizo dude who was talking about being watched by a man in the corner was the sniper killers neighbor brah. Peak game.

I think what happened was the og sniper killer was an ex cop/marine/whatever that snapped because they mentioned his crispy shooting skills, and then when comardy snapped he became the next sniper killer.
(He could also be the Jeff leaving messages to himself, cause yk they’re both named Jeff, a D.I.D situation like Berlin said)
TL;DR: the sniper killer is just any cop or solider that went off the deep end and started hallucinating orders from”headquarters” and started sliming civilians
That’s exactly my theory too 🙂↕️ I’d say that the ending and story more than enough leaves evidence to imply that he wasn’t the sniper killer the whole time but instead became the next one after snapping. The cycle continuing through him.
This game is the most creative, well thought out, boundary pushing, indie game in a VEERRRYYY long time. Engaging story with tense moments👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾and now we know his other games (Blood wash, Deadly Night, etc) share the same universe. Its giving Chilla Arts type of storytelling💯

@imokay3193 my two theories is that either sniper dude and comardy are both schizophrenic and that's why sniper dudes notes and archives were nonsense and comardy was shooting people that weren't there, if not then sniper dude was being controlled by the demon thing at the end
@imokay3193 all it really is, a detective racing against time to catch this mass sniper shooter. My assumption of the sniper's reasoning; simply terrorism, and his offering of souls to whatever demonic campaign he's subscribed to. The mass shootings are definitely organized from within the same police department as the detective. There's also an otherworldly element to the story as well.
I believe this story is a prequel to all their other games bc the guy at the beginning has the same tone & sinister demeanor as the hotel clerk in Deadly Night. He ends up dying in that one, he also has a stash of porn vhs tapes of other customers that stay at the hotel he owns. Filmed personally by himself with hidden cameras in the rooms. In this game, he literally films porn lol so it checks out, same person. Berlin pointed out some characters are from the other game, Blood Wash, which I think has a conclusive ending. Which is why I think this is a prequel

I don't know if Berlin will even see this but from what I understand about internal police work:
Most patrol/regular cops don't really like detectives because detectives often like to be control freaks, when a scene pops up i.e serial killings, they take everything over, tell people what to do, what not to touch etc. Detectives have to pass an extremely hard exam and not just pass, but pass at a very high score in order to be considered for the position so they usually are perceived as having massive egos.

So I think the monster at the end was headquarters. Notice that one part where headquarters’ voice was mosterish. Notice that after Comardy “Defeats” the monster. His subtitles turn from the police emblem to the same background the sniper had. Maybe once you enter headquarters’ dimension he can then contact and influence you.
If you remember back in the apartment complex, the crazy guy who first appeared at the kissing booth was also in the apartment and spoke of a demon with black and white eyes, which is what the neighbor looked like. I think he, the sniper, and all those homeless people were all linked to that one demon. The lore is probably deeper than that but I pieced that together.
My take is that the cycle of the Sniper Killer just continued. IIRC, they said at the beginning that the first killer was some sort of ex law enforcement. And in Comardy’s pursuit of the killer he also became possessed by the same entity and that’s why he was contacted by “Headquarters” and became the new agent. And YES would love to see the bonus missions!!

It was Comardy the whole time. You gotta remember he gave Gail his personal number for info. That was intentional. Because he was the killer. Because remember when she called the strange voice answered. But it wasn't JUST Comardy.
Hans the guy at the beginning photoshoot and the creepy neighbor and also the guy you interrogate was the Demon disguised as a human cause he kept changing his voice but its the same character model. He most likely was influencing Comardy the whole game except the very last kill which was the Demon himself thought im not a 100% sure if all the kills were comardy or some of them. I gota say the ending was kind of stupid and a let down lol but this is the only logical sense for the plot

The title of the game alone brings back memories of me being a kid and the Beltway Snipers were active. Always hearing rumors about where they went, having the teachers at school cancel recess on the playground, getting home to see they striked again...that was truly a scary time.
