Are you talking about the bottom piece that I ripped? If I remember right that was the only piece I ripped and that was deck board. I suppose you could use what you want. It was just to hold the soil in.
@@norabder1008 Thanks! I'm referring to the 2x4 that you cut into 18" pieces for the legs. Sounds like you ripped that board for the legs? Thanks for replying.
@@PeteDaly-xz1bz I didn’t rip the legs. I cut them to length on my miter saw. You can use a circular saw or even a hand saw. I actually overlap the 2x4’s.
Really nice,do you have a work bench? Noticed you are on the floor with your saw.!!would love to see you make a bench, sure you would make a good job of that too👍👍👍
I was going to do that but my wife and I are planning to move in the near future and I was going to wait until then. I will bee real busy from now until then, thank you for your kind words!!!
You don’t have to use pressure treated wood.. Cedar naturally resists bugs and holds up well in the weather. I imagine that you could use regular wood and seal it with something. I stained and painted one of my boxes and it looks good.
I built one for my mom and she loved it. Thanks for posting.
That is awesome! Thanks for watching!
The TMZ sound in the beginning lol

Thank you so much!!! I hope you check out some of my other videos. And God bless you too!!!
Robertson head screws would do the trick. But you don't get them in the US.
Great how-to video !
Good 😊 job 👏
Omar Awak thank you!
I don't have a table saw. Would using a 2x2 in place of the ripped 2x4 work? Great video, appreciate the clear instructions....

The concrete would make a cool detail

Let know how it comes out.
Great video and great job, thank you! Do I have to use pressure treated wood? Could I get regular lumber and apply a poly stain to protect?

nice ty
You are welcome...this one actually came out very well and I think that I will build a few more. My wife goes crazy with the flowers!
Did you screw the bottom pieces? I didn't see the screws on the outside atound the bottom area
Honestly I don’t remember but I don’t think that I did.
Can you use normal wood that’s not pressure treated?
You can, it may not last as long but you might get a few seasons out of it. If you can get ahold of some pallets you maybe able to use them.?.
