I actually think that all these older clips don't represent how amazing of a singer he is nowadays ed sheeran voice in the last 3 years has became much stronger and he's actually one of the best live singers you need to check out more recent live performances
@@mpearos9636 I agree, I don’t like his voice anymore. Used to love it. Nowadays it’s lost all the soft soothing qualities it used to have, and now it’s just more nasallly. Idk whether this is intentional or not, I hope it is cus I want him to revert back to his softer voice for the subtract album.
Great video! Ed's voice has gotten much stronger over the years. From what I can tell, he really started to push his vocal range in Multiply and Divide by utilizing a lot of falsetto and by belting choruses. Even though his range and power improved in the later albums, I consider Plus his best album. I just loved how his voice sounded in the lower range, the tone he created, and how smooth his runs were. Plus was much less poppy and featured his iconic Martin LX1E mini guitar as the driving instrument, which I believe complemented his voice much better than the arrangements in the newer albums. You can really hear this in the songs "Small Bump" and "Give Me Love". Maybe his next album will be called "Minus" and he'll go back to his stripped down acoustic roots, but hey - we can all dream right?
Yay thanks for doing Ed, enjoyed this video! Yeah Ed is def a songwriter first. He loves coming up with different production styles too. And on his tours he is big on it just being him performing and looping the background music he makes with his guitar and sometimes he might have one or two musicians off stage helping him loop and he sings with his head and chest voice when performing. I feel like he only switches up the song if he wants to do something really cool with the performance. As for artists to react... I feel like you would really like The Cranberries if you haven't listened to them yet. They're an Irish Alternative Rock with some Pop vibes band from the 90s. Listen to: Zombie, Linger and Dreams from their album "Everybody else is doing it, so why can't we?"
Songwriter and musician first but a very solid voice too.
iconic Voice

In my opinion, Ed's voice now is in the worst form it's ever been. I still love him tho.
