not hard to do, i do that just riding from the big dam bridge to the library then to the captiol and back to the big dam bridge. all stopping at places that have water and carrying just a water bottle. regulate your breaks and intake and you will be fine.
Nice ride! We rode it in 2004, over 3 days. Our takeaway was that it wasn't well maintained in many areas. I think it has to do with the fact that Womble is located in a part of Arkansas that has only small towns. The local yahoos don't really care about mountain biking. We also found Little Blakely trail to be poorly maintained. It's also in a small town area.
I got to ride that trail with a group of friends back in 1998, loved it. It looks a bit overgrown on your video, because back when I rode it, it was definitely more defined. We rode out and back for a total of almost 40 miles. I hope to one day get back over and ride the whole thing out and back. We went in September when schools were in session, not one other person on the trail
That's awesome! Yeah, I'm sure it goes through periods where it gets more overgrown, and periods where it's better maintained. Probably depends how many volunteers are available to do trail work. Ron, who gave me the shuttle from Hwy 27 fishing village, said there was a group from Dallas that came and rode it every winter.
I went to ride that, and was the only one too got like 6 miles into it. And was like fuk this, no signal, not sure about the trail. It freaked me out man
If you get a shuttle from Ron at the Hwy 27 Fishing Village, he'll know you're out there. The 2nd day I rode with no shuttle on the northern part, and he told me to back into the parking space there so he'd know I went north. So if your car was still there in the evening, he'd know you were out there and to send help. So that's something, at least.
I rode one time on a 27.5 (rental bike). To be honest, I couldn't tell much of a difference. I think you'll be happy with either, but the general consensus is that the 27.5 is a bit more nimble, while the 29 rolls over obstacles better, and seems to be faster rolling.
Needs grooming.
25 miles in one day. Where does your water come from? Life straw or something similar?
Hydration pack

Looks far too overgrown

Yeah, definitely more of a backcountry ride. I bet the locals don't even ride it, only tourists!
Nice video! I used to ride this trail annually with some friends. It's a special place. Always rode it with zero suspension and even single speed. 😁
Holy moly that sounds rough, lol!

You’re doing a great job with these videos.. we need more Texas traffic on the womble
Thank you sir! The Womble is quite the adventure! I'm gonna have to hit the Lovit next!
yeah sorry our spiders know no boundaries. they'll set up shop right in your front door if you let em.
Hahaha, well I was invading their home, so they can't really be blamed!
@@huntstyle no they know better than to set up in the middle of the trail. lmao

Just gotta take it slow knowing there's nobody out there to help if you get in trouble!

Have you ridden both 29 and 27.5? If so which do you prefer and why? I’m up in the air on which one to get thanks

That’s what I hear so all down to personal preference! Thank for the response
Sorry was watching your other videos and should have said on the jeffsy
Great ride! Thanks!
Thanks Mark!
I know you ride a Jeffsy now...but what Specialized model is this? This think looks so rough it's almost like you were riding a hardtail! LOL
Haha, yeah this is the Camber. 110mm travel I believe. BIG difference, for sure!
@@huntstyle What year Camber was it, do you remember?
@@oklahotb3217 2012 I believe
@@huntstyle Thanks. I found a '16 frame for a good price. I may pick it up and build it.
