I had another thought…. Remember when “Haylee” played all the new AGA pros? I wonder if Michael might have some interest in playing the AGA and European pros if schedule permits…? Maybe playing one of the western pros each month to support interest in Go in the west?
Since I'm a "kyu" level I almost always play with a handicap against the mostly "dan" level players at the Nihon Kiin in my town. I watched this the day before going to play and applied the ideas/recommendations in this video. I won 3 out of 4 games losing the fourth by only a few stones. Thanks for a great explanation on how to exploit the handicap stones and defend against the pesky 3-3 invasion.
I very much enjoyed this teaching game, and hope that more students will allow game reviews on the channel! Naturally, i am curious with only taking 5 stones, is Chris maybe a 2-4dan in his Go organization?
Not connecting D5... felt bad. If you play the attachment it feels like you're saying "the corner is less important than your side territory vs my potential moyo." And if that's how you feel, connecting up feels like the right follow up. Sure white says "can I then take corner territory in exchange?" and b is then saying "possibly, I mean, I might not get there in time" but it's not like white can immediately take the corner away.

This was a really nice watch! Would be fun to see the final position in the game to see how it ended up

He would be 3-4 dan in Japan, maybe about 5k on an internet server, and somewhere between in most other countries.
@@MichaelRedmondsGoTV 5d on internet servers?
4 dan is Japan is around 1k on kgs

Amazing, how could it get the full record of the game
