Good Friday, also known as 'Holy Friday,' is the Friday immediately preceding Easter Sunday. It is celebrated traditionally as the day on which Jesus was crucified. Assuming that Jesus was crucified and died on a Friday, should Christians remember Jesus' death by celebrating Good Friday?
The Bible does not instruct Christians to remember Christ’s death by honoring a certain day. The Bible does give us freedom in these matters, however. Romans 14:5 tells us, “One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.” Rather than remembering Christ's death on a certain day, once a year, the Bible instructs us to remember Christ’s death by observing the Lord’s Supper. First Corinthians 11:24-26 declares, “...do this in remembrance of me...for whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death!!!

Guy didn't die for us, he died because he was a rebel, suspicious character confusing simple folks. He was a serious threat to the law and order, had to be "nailed down".

Daniel D.-Because of Jesus’ atoning sacrifice on the cross, those who place their faith and trust in Him alone for salvation are guaranteed eternal life (John 3:16). However, Jesus called His followers to take up their cross and follow Him (Matthew 16:24). This concept of “cross-bearing” today has lost much of its original meaning. Typically, we use “cross-bearing” to denote an inconvenient or bothersome circumstance (e.g., “my troubled teen is my cross to bear”). However, we must keep in mind that Jesus is calling His disciples to engage in radical self-denial. The cross meant only one thing to a 1st-century person-death. “Whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it” (Matthew 16:25). Galatians reiterates this theme of death of the sinful self and rising to walk in new life through Christ: “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me” (Galatians 2:20).
There are places in the world where Christians are being persecuted, even to the point of death, for their faith. They know what it means to carry their cross and follow Jesus in a very real way. For those of us who are not being persecuted in such fashion, our job is still to remain faithful to Christ. Even if we are never called to give the ultimate sacrifice, we must be willing to do so out of love for the One who saved us and gave His life for us.🤔

He was a peaceful rebel. Jesus did not build an army of people to overthrow the government when he could have seeing how his influence had reached today. Instead he performed miracles and raised someone from the dead, healed the sick, let the blind see, and taught people how to love one another.

You lie Daniel, try if you can't say a good thing, not to say crazy stories.

He may be an atheist who only knows what he's been told & never had a chance to examine the historical & Scriptural evidence for himself. It's best not to to accuse someone of something unless one actually knows for a fact. You may be the face of Christ to this person.
      @Daniel D.
Jesus said the following in the Gospel of St. John Ch. 18 (BibleHub):
      biblehub.com/niv/john/18.htm
      Jesus Before Pilate
28 Then the Jewish leaders took Jesus from Caiaphas to the palace of the Roman governor. By now it was early morning, and to avoid ceremonial uncleanness they did not enter the palace, because they wanted to be able to eat the Passover.
29 So Pilate came out to them and asked, “What charges are you bringing against this man?”
30 “If he were not a criminal,” they replied, “we would not have handed him over to you.”
31 Pilate said, “Take him yourselves and judge him by your own law.” “But we have no right to execute anyone,” they objected.
32 This took place to fulfill what Jesus had said about the kind of death he was going to die.
33 Pilate then went back inside the palace, summoned Jesus and asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?”
34 “Is that your own idea,” Jesus asked, “or did others talk to you about me?”
35 “Am I a Jew?” Pilate replied. “Your own people and chief priests handed you over to me. What is it you have done?”
36 Jesus said, “ *My kingdom is not of this world* . *If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place* .”
37 “ *You are a king, then* !” said Pilate. Jesus answered, “ *You say that I am a king* . *In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth* . *Everyone on the side of truth listens to me* .”
38 “ *What is truth* ?” retorted Pilate. With this he went out again to the Jews gathered there and said, “ *I find no basis for a charge against him* .
39 But it is your custom for me to release to you one prisoner at the time of the Passover. Do you want me to release ‘the king of the Jews’?”
40 They shouted back, “No, not him! Give us Barabbas!” Now Barabbas had taken part in an uprising.
