Taking our 5 year old twins and 12 year old son to Disneyland for the first time at the end of May this year. The twins are a bit skiddish with rides. How about a ride list to build up confidence with little kids before they go on something more intense like Indiana Jones?
Last time I rode Big Thunder Railroad it was with my wife and two kids during the firework show... thinking about it warms me up. It is truly the best time I've ever ridden it. If you never have ridden it when the fireworks is happening and you get the chance to you should... truly magical.
I LOVE the goat trick!! I worked at BTM (and Jungle Cruise, Tiki, and Opera House) during the 50th and watching this I couldn’t believe I still remembered the exact order of the animals throughout the attraction!
Both goats are really cute, but the DCA one I could see on a postcard. I always thought the swing opossum were really funny. One of favorite roller coasters in terms of rich detail & theming! Matterhorn 2nd fav with water falls + splash down & Harold!

I might be misunderstanding something. That extended Matterhorn queue area and entrance gate was only installed back in 2018. Was the goat weather vane originally somewhere else at the Matterhorn and then relocated to the new queue gate after it was constructed?

Hey Chris, I’m not sure if you noticed because you didn’t mention it in the video, but there is a BIG hidden Mickey on Big Thunder. You called out the snakes on the second lift as a “wishful Mickey”, but the actual hidden Mickey is at the base of the second lift in the form of 3 metal gears. You can see it in this video at the 7:59 mark. I’m a former Disneyland ride operator who spent his last 5 years just working on BTM, so I knew it inside and out. Love your PPP content-keep up the great work!

I don’t know if its survived all the rehabs over the years but there used to be (and may still be) a cow skull in the bat cave. It’s on the ground near the track below the flying bats. If your counting the dino skeleton you should include the cow.

Chris, you made me smile the entire time I was watching this video. I've seen 9/10 animals on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. The ones that I've never seen are the skunks and I appreciate you showing me this animal. When I ride BTMRR, I think of it as a normal ride but now that I've been watching PPP for a while now, I'm really starting to see the deeper secrets behind these Disney attractions. I never known there was a goat in the picture that's on Jessie's Critter Carousel. You really have changed the way I see Disneyland and I applaud you for it. One video suggestion I have is Secrets Revealed videos on Silly Symphony Swings and Jessie's Critter Carousel.
Have you ever seen the Disney cats that live in or very close to that attraction? We see them when we are in line, they are usually hiding in the bushes. Love this video!
