Soap died for nothing here. He just died as the writer's check list. Soap KIA : Check. Seriously, wtf. In og MW3, we have a legendary sequence when Soap on the table in heat gunfire, "Makarov knows Yuri." then "Soap trusted you, I thought I could too. So why, in bloody hell, does Makarov know you?". Now, with better graphic, better shooting, just a checklist.
Yeah and Yuri wasn't even a playable character in the new one either

i disagree. this campaign was short but pretty damn good. the ending was also good enough. altho by the shortness it does feel a little bit like a dlc.

@@michaelnguyen940 The original trilogy CAMPAING was more about block buster action GAME, this reboot is more about political drama with some shooting that tries to be a movie.

Such an underwhelming ending. This should’ve absolutely been a dlc for MW2. Funny how they defended this game saying this is not a dlc but all they did was set up for the sequel. Another Cash grab
They are trying to make the story more emotional and in depth that’s why they also changed it from the original version to make it more enjoyable for us

At least it meant something. Yuri gave price the opening to finish Makarov. But soap death meant literally nothing, but shock value.
the voice acting in the original mw3 was much better. it added more emotion to soaps death. It didn't seem like price cared much in this. Ghost was the only one who seemed to care and you cant even see his face

yh but its an alternative universe. price is more concerned about Gaz and ghost is more concerned about soap. if Gaz had died instead of soap I reckon price would have been way more emotional.

I don't think people are really feelin this situation Soap and Price were waiting on backup(When you start to disarm the bomb you hear them) but they were caught off guard Soap already got shot it's the first thing Price sees as he looks up before he could react Makarov was in front of him next thing he's on the floor and doesn't have his gun in his hand he tries to grab it but Makarov stop him Price looks up straight in the barrel as Makarov says some shit Soap saw the drift and tries kill Makarov he held already wounded Soap and kicks Price in the face and head shot Soap. Now imagine someone you know who had done so much and had fought beside them many times someone who seemed badass and was also a friend got head shot trying to save you would have felt? It wasn't slow because people that gets into plenty of gunfights know that it doesn't to take a minute for you to die jus mere seconds. Ghost was hurt deeply but as his mask hides his face it also hides his emotions.

I think they were trying to go for realism in war. One second your buddy is alive, the next, gone. Literally happens in real life. No dramatic speeches, sob stories, etc. Just gone.

Close range gunfight are different you won't get shot and bleed out you'll die instantly.
@@frustratedmillennialzThat is an advantage Call of Duty has, its not meant to be realistic. Realism does not change Soaps death sucking shit. Even if it wasnt realistic, Soaps original death hit beyond hard and it was a hard pill to swallow. This just felt like the writers wanted to kill a character to end the game quickly. I dont really care in the new game because it happened in four seconds. Realism should not excuse bad storytelling

M8 it don't work like that, Alex "died" but only lost his leg, also Graves "died in a tank in south America" but he is still alive, what i mean, we do not see bodies, in this case, we see how Soap get a bullet to the head and how he's ashes are spread to his country :(

It is nothing compared to OG MW3 , but the way he died was fast and cold , like in real life it happened out of nowhere.
And the scene where Price , gaz and ghost released his ashes , was somehow poetic since they released his ashes in the Highlands in scotland , Not the best ending , but still it had it's meaning.
This is what most people don't understand. I mean I am pissed that Soap again died in the new Universe of Call of Duty. But then again, it happened so fast.

This MW3 was the first COD or MW game I played and I just finished the campaign and I’m seeing that soap has died in the original, so are the recent MW’s like reboots or remasters of the originals?
They are,kinda, they are reboots so they are rewritten basically,ghost should have died in the mw2 reboot but didnt like in the original for example

I wanted him to die exactly as he did, but not in a way that Makarov spawns 5 fuckin feet away. In the original, you’re lead through a mission with absolutely no clue that Makarov had everything set up, then soap dies after an insane gun fight.

Mw4 plot
In Mw4 141 is all about getting Makarouv, but instead Price, Gaz And Nikolai are killed by him in various ways. Ghost being the last one finally gets his revenge and kills him for taking out his squad. At the end of the campaign Ghost being promoted to Captain meets with Laswell at the same tea shop Price met her at and Ghost forms his own squad consisting of characters they can introduce like Burns, Roach, Wallcoft, & Griffin. Maybe calling the squad Ghosts

And it just didn’t give that “excitement” feeling from the original MW2 and MW3 storyline… not even close. The campaign was definitely rushed. The mechanics and gun sounds are exactly the same as MWII. This was 100% a copy and paste game. Honestly, more of a $70 update lol
