Learning Java first has definitely helped me learn python faster. After I finish the python project I'm doing, I want to get back to Java and also learn Kotlin
Most people learn Python first then Java since if you’re comparing the two Python is much more user friendly. At the end of the day, Python or Java is all up to the persons goals and careers and whatever they choose to master the most.
I think Python, JavaScript, and Java are probably 3 amazing languages to learn. Java is very strict on types and syntax which would help if you transitioned from JavaScript to TypeScript. JavaScript is used a lot for web development and even mobile app development especially when using React. Python and Java are 2 big languages that are used in a lot in back-end, API development (Python + Django or Java + Springboot), scripts, etc.
@@Serjason2 Facts, right now I'm using Python for a data science project and of course I love his simple it is compared to Java. Do you recommend learning C++/C# over python if all you want to do is game development? Or should I just learn Python first so I don't get burned out and quit?
I have been trying to learn python but it's hard because I learn the best by doing it. I wished there was a site that had basic examples of python code that I could type. Something short like 15 minutes or less. I see some projects on youtube but most are like 1 to 2 hours or more.
dont worry javascript is not something you learn. It is something you learn as you write more code. I assure you that even experienced javascript developers wouldn't know some things which I know and vice versa.

My Favorite Roadmap:
0. Learn the Basis: Data Structures, Algorithms, Discrete Math, Algebra, Calculus, Operating Systems, Computer Architecture, ...
1. General Purpose Language: Python
2. Web Development: HTML/CSS/JS/React/Nodejs/Express/Nextjs/Figma
3. OOP: C# or Java (just choose one)
4. Databases: SQL (MySQL), NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, ElasticSearch, Neo4j)
5. Specialize: Data Science (more Python, Power BI), Cybersecurity (Parrot/Kali Linux), Software Development (more C#/Java, C++), Devops, Mobile Development (Kotlin, Swift, Flutter), Game Development (C++ and Unreal Engine / Unity), much more...
