Dude, 6 years after you made this vlog, you’re still helping people. You explained the best use(s) for this. Thanks! I’ve had one for ages, never used, but I’m setting up a board for acoustics. Think I’m better off using my Boss OC-3 Super Octave for that, but you gave me some ideas for the Donner. Thanks again!
Wow the simulated 12 string tone really wowed me. I ordered one recently mainly for use as a de tuner type of pitch shift but the more I research this thing the more impressed I am. Great review man!
So thorough, while staying clear, quick, no bs, no fluff, just showing and explaining a ton of yhe deep potential of this coolass pedal. Bravo and thank you, your highness
Picked up one of these somewhat accidentally, but I absolutely love it. The detune almost sounds like a chorus in some ways. For $45 you couldn't mess up.
1st actual proper explanation of a harmony pedal and its practical uses I have ever seen. I am legit selling my Boss PS6 that has way to many useless extra features for this puppy.
Detune/Chorus ----- mind is blown. What an awesome use of the pedal man. I have this pedal myself and don't know really use it. I'm gonna have to experiment with the Detune/Chorus effect now.
You’re the only one on you tube reviewing this who demonstrated it’s true pitch shifting potential. Playing along with Eb drop D or recordings slightly out of tune is now possible with this pedal without changing any tuning on the guitar. Not to mention it’s obvious utility as an octave pedal. Great demo. I’m buying it.
I love the chorus effect, and I've run wet/dry both at 12 o'clock for a synth sound as good as my early Roland synth guitar, without the weird tracking latencies those had.
Thanks for the showing how this pedal works and the different ways to use it TK. This is the best demo / tutorial on RUclips for this type of pedal. cheers JB
Hello I picked this up for the pitch shifting capabilities. I see the it will either start at one whole step down or up and then go incrementally in half steps from there. What I need is to be able to start at either a half step up or down first. Not a whole step Unless I’m missing something. How do you pitch shift a half step in either direction Any help greatly appreciated or this pedal is not much use to me Thank you
Hello TTK... Awesome video!! Thank you for it! Two questions... 1) Is it Polyphonic? 2) Should it come first in the signal chain of my pedalboard (before distortions / overdrives)? Thanks!
I just bought this and like your clean chorus demo. I’m relatively new player and use all Donner pedals. Price and quality = great value. Thanks for the demo.
Hello, great vid, on the specs page, it says "Pitch up: From +2 to +24 semitiones. Pitch down: From -2 to -24 semitiones.", does it cover all chromatic semitones?, is there a pedal which does that?
Dan S. Check out my comment. I can’t seem to get it to go a half step. It starts at a full step. Unless I’m missing something. Did u grab one and have you figured out how?
Awesome vid TK, love that guitar, I have the HD500 and it has that effect and has been very useful in say a Motley cover in which you can play a step down but still have your guitar in E, thanks for this video!!!
I got one, and although I like it, I kind-of don't like that it sounds like it downgrades my tone somehow. In other words, if I add more dry signal, it helps but then, the wet knob has to be pushed up to get more effect. It's hard to explain. I'll try placing it after my drives. Maybe that will help.
I REALLY wish they would make a mk 2 version. Thr ONLY thing this pedal lacks is a dual octave fuction. I know they make one that does, i own one. But i a 100% certain they could add that option without sacrificing any existing fuction. Put the " detune" on an led button, and have the toggles midle spot set to dual.
Can I use that Donner Harmonic Square for the guitar solo by myself such as Iron Maiden "The Trooper", The Eagles "Hotel California", and other bands who played a dual guitar?
TTK, check out the Behringer US600 Harmonist. It's like a 'relative' or 'complement' to this Donner. The functionality isn't 1:1 across both pedals, but they might make a good tandem. The US600 has an EXP jack, and stereo outs, plus it does 'scalar harmonization'. But, this Donner does some cool things which the Behringer does not. Gotta say, it sounds like this Donner does a great job tracking. Cheers man!
Has anyone used this in front of an amp? I'm looking at solutions for harmony sections in my band, but really don't want to have to run stuff in an FX Loop due to the extra set-up involved, I'm sure we're all familiar with 15 min changeovers etc. Ideally want something I can slap on my board in a sort of set + forget fashion and turn on/off as required. Playing modern metal, think Trivium/Arch Enemy styled lead harmonies in choruses etc. From what I gather, the boss PS-6 really doesn't like being used in front of an amp, so I'm looking at other options.
Just snagged one of these on a lightning deal. Hoping it gets me into some 60s sounding 12 string territory. I want to avoid buying a 12 string if I can
Very good review. Stupid question: Can you use this with an acoustic guitar?? What I mean by that is an electric/acoustic guitar ?? Can I strum chords using this pedal?? Second stupid question : What is a cent??
what is this ? the new Fraser, rock n roll channel ? man that intro music is killing me. reminds me of playing hooky from school and public t.v. channels playing reruns from the 70's all day while u are forced to pretend to be sick because your mom is home with you

Hi, Does this pedal has 1 semi-tone shift? Chromatic down or up I mean?
1st actual proper explanation of a harmony pedal and its practical uses I have ever seen. I am legit selling my Boss PS6 that has way to many useless extra features for this puppy.
Detune/Chorus ----- mind is blown. What an awesome use of the pedal man. I have this pedal myself and don't know really use it. I'm gonna have to experiment with the Detune/Chorus effect now.
the best review for this pedal, DEFINITELY getting my hands on one of these beauties!!!!

Excellent review of all the interesting ways you can use this!
I love the chorus effect, and I've run wet/dry both at 12 o'clock for a synth sound as good as my early Roland synth guitar, without the weird tracking latencies those had.
Thank you, perfect demonstration! I ordered one recently and am excited to check it out
Just got one HS, your demo was one of the most interesting vid to watch and listen.
Thank you
Thanks for the showing how this pedal works and the different ways to use it TK.

Thanks for your demo and tutorial of this great-sounding pedal! It really does a lot of different things.
Super versatile pedal !!
Thanks for the tips!

Upping the production value lately! I love it, TTK!
Thanks Andy! Appreciate it as always man.
Just ordered one, looks like fun. Thanks for posting all the helpful stuff.
Great review. Just ordered one. Excited now!
Could I use this pedal to play the harmonic part of Boys Are Back in Town?
can you use this with an expression pedal? like tom morello style?
Would this work on vocals to make them deeper with a delaybaffect
can you plug it into an expression pedal for a whammy effect ?
Does it distort a bass I’m looking for anything with the octave under effect but I don’t like a bass distorting
Hi there! Great video as always, man. Can you go down half step in flat mode with this pedal?
Can this detune 1/2 step to E flat instantly? Or, do you have to move the dial and guess or use a tuner to know you're 1/2 step down. Thanks!
Hello TTK... Awesome video!! Thank you for it! Two questions... 1) Is it Polyphonic? 2) Should it come first in the signal chain of my pedalboard (before distortions / overdrives)? Thanks!

The detune/chorus sounds HUGE.
indeed it did! Thanks man.
Another one I'll have to look into. I have the Digitech Drop but this seems to offer a little more tonal options. Thanks Louis.
Thanks MHH.
can you detune just 1 semitone down with this??
I want this dude to review all pedals
Hello, great vid, on the specs page, it says "Pitch up: From +2 to +24 semitiones. Pitch down: From -2 to -24 semitiones.", does it cover all chromatic semitones?, is there a pedal which does that?
i just found this vid! glad i did!
great demo!
Great Review! Where would you place this in a pedal chain?
One of cool things is that you can get that Boston guitar tone with the detune mode.
Sounds really good. Nice demo. Just bought one. Sorted
For just dropping a half step down how does this compare to the Digitech Drop?
Dan S. Check out my comment. I can’t seem to get it to go a half step. It starts at a full step. Unless I’m missing something. Did u grab one and have you figured out how?
I like this guy. To the point.
have you tried using it with a mike for vocals
Great demo of a cool sounding pedal.

muy buen video saludos desde tijuana
Muy buena y útil reseña. Gracias.
Do you think that this would work well on bass..? by chance..?
bros tryna get a copyright strike
I have no experience with this kind of pedal, I’m guessing the dry always plays the output of the instrument and the wet is the actual effect?
Yep
How did you get rid of the latency, i have one and it sucks, the latency, is so bad, i can´t ues it ?
I got one, and although I like it, I kind-of don't like that it sounds like it downgrades my tone somehow. In other words, if I add more dry signal, it helps but then, the wet knob has to be pushed up to get more effect. It's hard to explain. I'll try placing it after my drives. Maybe that will help.
Any latency issues? Any discoloration of tone?
Have effect organ also?
Love the videos! Keep em coming!!
Thanks Tony.

Thanks, Louis! Great video!
Which tracks better? This or the Hotone Harmony?
Could I plug in a mic and play my sax into it. I’m curious
Do it! Why wouldn't it work
how do i get it to sound a half step down
That sounds so cool 😎
Can I use that Donner Harmonic Square for the guitar solo by myself such as Iron Maiden "The Trooper", The Eagles "Hotel California", and other bands who played a dual guitar?
Nope, it has no intelligent harmonizer...go for a Boss or TC device!
The dial for changing the octave isn't working for me. What should I do?
Excellent, thanks. I think i need one now 🤓
is there an delay on this pedal?
can't find it on Amazon! EDIT: got it on Aliexpress for like $30
Its power chords in a box. Super useful and cheap. I like to use it to glitch out my whammy pedal.
seems like it causes a treble loss, but it tracks really well! I'm impressed.
Thanks man.
Thanks!
TOOOOOOOOONE KIIIIIIIIIIIING!

Thanks Andy. Yes, it does do a great job tracking. Better than the latency involved in my $500 audio interface :-)
6:40 le pico la cola
Tone King! If im standard tunning, how lower can I go? DROP C, B and A ? Thanks!
if you go to drop d, then this pedal can get you down to drop C, B, A#, A, G, and drop E
Great review!
Nice interesting pedal !!!
thank you sir
nice demo TK, looks like another peddle for the board \m/
why not an expression pedal in to shift to an octave or in between ?
Nice. I've YET to see a really good 1 however.
tracks really slow on the low octaves RIGHT? curious makes you have to play slow. Thanks good demo on a cheap pedal. Looks useful
good stuff!!
Has anyone used this in front of an amp?

can i use it as a drop pedal?
Can this thing do a 1/2 step down?
Sadly, no. It's a great pedal for the money though.
So, can i use it on a bass to sound like a guitar?
I bought this for my bass; you have to tweak the wet and dry and raise up 1 or two octaves. It's not exact, but pretty close
I could probably use one of those in place of a couple other pedals. Under $50 too!
I might have to get two of them...
Wich guitar is that?
How many price?
Great explanation. I just wish he demonstrated without all the distortion.
Cool
Thank you, very helpful! :-)
Would like to see how this works with a keyboard instead of a guitar.
north jersey ova heer....OHHHHHHH!!!!!
Very good review. Stupid question: Can you use this with an acoustic guitar?? What I mean by that is an electric/acoustic guitar ?? Can I strum chords using this pedal?? Second stupid question : What is a cent??
I love the idea of these pitch shifting pedals but in my experience the latency is unbareable.
-2 cents to get van hagar tone. Surprised No one is showing that!?!?!?
Van Halen detuned 2 cents and that gave him serveral records sound all they way to Balance...
So many adds
Onfortunately, it doesnt have drop half step😢😢😢😢
can this thing djent?
LOL.

Frasier.
