In today's video I test out the new Super formula 23 car that has been added to gran Turismo 7 and see if it is better than the current SF19 that is already in game.

Technically in reality the 23 car is way different to a 19 car because the 23 car uses ground effects to create downforce.
Not sure how it works in game but the 23 car should be able to stay on the arse of another car in corner and not loose downforce. Not sure if its replicated in game though.

Through using both the SF19 and SF23 on the same super formula events I couldn't see a difference when tailing behind the vehicle. In game I was struggling to see a difference but in real life I can see how the car would be different

Wrong, the diffuser sends air upwards, which makes it harder for ground effect cars to make down force

SF19 is worthless, this had me confused for the longest. I’m not really sure why the SF23 is better but it’s WAY better

You can win super formula with either. The big difference is down tuning. SF23 has lower PP so you can compete in 950pp stock with medium tires. Also SF23 PP drops more, with less down tuning. So competing in restricted races SF23 will beat any SF19.

It could be just me, but maybe because the SF19 is lighter it is easier to turn and the aerodynamics also seem to work much better (top speed and cornering)

Sf19 and sf23 are not f1 cars they are super formula cars they are way deferent to a f1 they are more in line with a f2 car thats why they dont allow us to drive a sf19 and sf23 vs mp4/4 the maclaren will walk the super formula cars with the correct tune the overtake mode cant match the mp4/4 top speed eather

@LiamFox11 if you genuinely know a lot about f1 you'd know that they tune their suspension based on what track their driving whether there'll be more left turns then right or vice versa, more and or less foenforce applied, if you did that for each car for each track they would be so so so very similar

You can get the SF19 through and extra menu book 16 but you have to spend like 12 mil to get all the cars if you don't already have them

I just copy and paste the tune from the SF19 to the 23 and it has the same performance. You have to play with the gear ratios to get it right
