- Please follow along as I walk thru the steps on how to get a dash cam setup on your WRX. This is the cleanest way to get your dash cam setup without running wires thru the entire cabin. Remember folks...when working on these things, patience is key. The last thing you want to do is rush and break a plastic piece. Use the right tools and proper judgement when working on things - Cheers!
PLEASE READ BELOW & INSPECT YOUR SETUP BEFORE PURCHASING:
Subaru WRX w. auto-dimming mirror uses a 10-pin adapter

Subaru WRX w. standard mirror (not auto-dimming) uses a 5-pin adapter

Got the same car, bought the same adapter, does not turn on. I guess they gave me a non working adapter???
Hey brother, if it's not powering on, let 'em know and they'll get it replaced. This adapter is new on their site and something a lot of WRX folks have been asking about so definitely reach out to them and they'll be happy to get it sorted out for you. Cheers.
@@Auto-Minute will do thanks
Do you have a tutorial to tuck the excess cable into the headliner? Or is it supposed to hang loosely?
@@rogbac602 definitely not loosely. I used a little pry tool to push the cables into the headliner. I know it's a bit tight up there, but the pry tool does a good job. I tucked some away (in the headliner) on either end of the rearview mirror mount.
