But i truly believe he can be one of the best swedish players when he is 22+. Worth the #1 pick right now? Hell yes.

He masterminds it. His defense is generally considered way above average for his age but he still blunders badly defensively. He is not perfect, far from it. He does seem to learn quickly though and the upper limit is currently unknown. The potential here is staggering. But as always .. defenders are tricky .. they usually mature after 25 and peak at 28 or so. And one should always pick a forward, particularly centers, before any other position. Unless it is just fucking obvious who is best and if it is Rasmus Dahlin I would not be surprised at all. Still a year away though. :) Also, it would be an interesting change for once to have a defender as first pick and see the Paul Coffey/Erik Karlsson style get a nod. If it works out perhaps we will be talking about the Rasmus Dahlin style of defense in ten years. Cheers :)

Of late, Shea Theodore has also looked awesome in this respect.
Although that might be tempting, they would have to figure out the responsibilities between them as a regular pairing. In PP I could definitely see it happening but not as a regular pair. I'd separate them into two separate D-lines.
