    Isn't it funny how no matter what emotion you're feeling in any given moment, countless others have felt it before you and understand. Gymnopedie 1 is that feeling of sadness for times long gone, but not forgotten.

    Superb playing, such delicate control of your phrasing. I love music that can capture purely the true feeling of melancholy. When I’m down ambient, melancholic music actually helps me get through it. People don’t seem to get why it does but I feel understood and like I’m not alone in all this vastness. Thank you, this is a joy to listen too! ❤

    Your playing was so clean. The way you move off one cord to the next , how you lift off one straight up and straight back down on the next. That truly is a very very rare quality for a guitarist to have .

    I really like your delicate approach to this piece. I find some scores are too embellished for my liking or played without the sensitivity, clarity and feeling you have demonstrated. Well done... if I could play it half as well I'd be happy.

    Your right hand is so good. I played a long time ago and I think my left hand was better than my right. But you make the guitar sound almost like a harp. Terrific.

    I was searching for transcriptions of this piece for guitar, but the others I had found seemed to rush through it.
    You achieve admirable poise, allowing us to savour the space where each note decays, and therefore first place on my personal podium.

    It's not usual I select music videos, unless I know the performer and/or the composition.
    Erik Satie's Gnossienne and Gymnopedies are compositions I like the most on guitar and piano.
    So, this time I am very glad to have heard both pieces from you.

    I follow you on IG so I came to find you on RUclips to hear full pieces. BTW back in 1989 as part of our wedding prelude, I had my former guitar teacher play this ethereal piece.
