- Annual trip to Richmond North Yorkshire to watch the hardest single day trial in the world. I hope the video shows the true feeling of this amazing trial and captures the day in its finest, hats off to all of the riders. Having done the trial myself i know just how hard it is, see you all in 2022.
Head over to our social media pages to see more,
The last few moments of the video have allowed me to describe my bike as clean, for all eternity.
I thought this was superb coverage. And only a few ‘likes’? That’s crazy. Thank you for the hard work putting this together - I really enjoyed it. Les
THE best Scott Trial video out there. thanks for doing it
Thanks Stephen really appreciated
Mate, the work you did to make this video is superb, stunning footage and very well edited. Well done, and what an epic trial! Cheers 👍🍻
Thanks very much
One of the better videos on the Scott this, really well put together. You get a sense of the hard work needed crossing streams and riding across moors etc. Normally the videos you see are just in the sections which is quite often the easy bits (almost!)
Cheers Ben, just tried to keep it raw.
When I saw “Scott Trial and saw trials bikes, I was thinking more of observed trials, boy was I wrong! This is a race on trials bikes!! Too Cool!! Thanks for sharing this great video!!
I really really enjoyed watching the Video, thank you so much for doing it and sharing
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for the nice comments 👍
Great video. Thanks for all your hard work putting it together . I bet there were a few black and blue bodies the next day.
After riding it myself 3-4 years previous I can confirm that.
Excellent really good overview spot on
great footage...i wudda had a go at it in my prime, but leave it to the young and fit....
purely asking questions as someone fairly new to trials... not slating, what makes this so hard? the distance? the courses? It looks like riders are able to put their feet down in the sections as much as they like? - more akin to hard enduro rather than a trial? some of the sections look reasonably challenging but not impossible like some of the redbull stuff. I'd be very keen to give this a go, but I must be missing something?
Hi,
Yes it's far tougher than many hard enduros for numerous reasons.
Time on the bike, could be 7-8 hours , all stood up.
The sections break bikes and bodies, the bikes are not made for the fast moorland crossings which leads to many accidents.
You are better off going to watch before entering I would certainly say that.
Of the 200 so starters there is an average of only half that Finnish each year. Says enough.
@@talesofaclubman thanks for the reply, it looks like there are specific sections like a normal trials in the middle, do these follow the "put your foot down too many times and you're out rule?"
I haven't seen trials events like this before, only normal enduro bikes following this style... Are there more like this (but perhaps shorter) or is this a fairly stand alone event?
@kieran3008 yes none stop rules apply, there is around 80 sections. Some minor, some with huge rock steps and waterfalls etc.
@@kieran3008 yes also the hardest parts are off limits to spectators, its the sections that make it so difficult, you can see how slippy some of them are, dragging your bike out of a few in the middle of an 8 hour day will test you!
How many laps?
1 lap of 80mile
Wow! 80 miles on a trials bike, amazing, great editing, Thank you!
What stars are put on such competitions, who will tell?
Какие звёзды ставят на такие соревнования кто подскажет?
And this is why you don't want to buy a used trials motorcycle... so much abuse!
This is more like hard enduro
LMAO, hard? grassy paths and a few rocks, we did harder than than on Honda C90s in the late 70s as kids, hilarious.
🤣 I take it you don't follow trials, you should head over with your c90 👍
@@talesofaclubman Nah, I would need an old TL125 to compete today against all those cheated up, purpose built, tea bag weight bikes LOL.

@@mcfly10146 LMAO, I am 62 now and still wheelie my Hayabusa at 100mph....come try it "hero"....you have nothing.
@@markholroyde9412 Guy Martin attempted it this year. Barely got off the start line. Ask him whats harder, the Scott or a wheelie 😅
Clown.
Do they get scored like a normal trial too ??
That guy at 15 minutes in 😂😂😂 he wasn't living his best life at all 😂😂😂
