    So you did a total of THREE epoxy coats by the time you were finished??? I have a 20 oz straight tumbler so I wouldnt need tapered stripes, right??? Love your tutorial!!!

    • @devildollcustomcreations
      @devildollcustomcreations  2 года назад

      So my tumbler is straight as well, the taper still looks best because it tricks your eye. I do have them already tapered on my Etsy shop to purchase if you didn’t want to create them yourself. I do as many coats needed until it’s glass smooth. It kind of depends on how thin or thick your coats are on how many you will need.

    Wow you blown my mind. I am brand new to tumblers but I want to do this. I have old cricut expressions the one that uses cartridges. I have to figure out how to use it and connect to internet. It been so long I forgot how to use the cricut. Sorry you did not need all that info. Your cup is stunning. Love it so much thanks hugs Sheryl 💙🎨💙

    What is your reason for not fast epoxying over white?

    • @devildollcustomcreations
      @devildollcustomcreations  2 года назад +1

      Hi. So most fast set epoxy has a higher chance of becoming yellowish over white especially if it is in the sun for longer periods of time. So I just always error on the side of caution.

    If the tumbler is straight do you still need to cut the vinyl at a taper?

    • @devildollcustomcreations
      @devildollcustomcreations  2 года назад +1

      Hi. Yes slightly because when your wrapping them around the tumbler it still looks uneven. I created a listing on Etsy with the strips already tapered ready for you to cut out in vinyl if you didn’t want to create them yourself. Here is the link

    I watched your video again from last year. How do you taper at the bottom? I could see that you had something open in Silhouette, but couldn't see it well. If you taper at the bottom, the top goes along with it... Totally confused with all the stripes.

    • @devildollcustomcreations
      @devildollcustomcreations  2 года назад

      Hi so when you grab the bottom corner you can drag it in a little, don’t grab the side of the strip because then it will make the whole strip thinner. I did create a listing on Etsy if you still are having a hard time that has two sizes of strips with the bottoms already tapered. I will link it here.

    • @devildollcustomcreations
      @devildollcustomcreations  3 года назад

      Yes there is but the one brand I tried to do this with became dull compared to adding my glitter to vinyl myself. Maybe I just had bad glitter adhesive vinyl 🤷‍♀️

  • @nicolelamarca3111

    Could you use glitter vinyl? Or does it lose shine under epoxy?

    • @devildollcustomcreations
      @devildollcustomcreations  3 года назад +1

      Yes you could but you still need to seal it especially if it’s cricut brand because they bleed under epoxy BAD. I used a sparkly white vinyl (not glitter) on my Christmas pen on my advanced pen tutorial and it turned out amazing!
