This song is based on "Off We Go into the Wild Blue Yonder", the official US Air Force song. My question is this. What are the English translation of the Japanese lyrics? Are they the same as the actual US Air Force song?
Things about saving the world and Neuroi have been added and replaced some of the parts of the song, but a lot of it is the same as far as I can tell.
Do you have sources to translated lyrics? I'd love to see how much they kept how and how much they changed.
Unfortunately I don't, I've been looking around pretty thoroughly for them and haven't been able to find an official or even unofficial translation.

Lili Marleen are also sung by Mina, found in season 1. The reason why they don't have USSR Anthem is that Orussia (which is a Russia on their universe) is more into Russian Empire, even though they have mostly have some "Soviet Style" things

What do you mean by a character song?
A Character song is exactly what the name says, a Song that is sung specifically by the Characters who sung it. Usually it helps describe the character through the song or the character's feelings (if you can understand the lyrics)

For that matter Karlsland isn't WW2 Nazi Germany, in fact Nazi's and the conditions in history that allowed them to be created don't exist: the Karlsland Empire is in fact the Imperial German Empire of WW1, ruled by a Kaiser and whose flags mirror WW1 German Empire flags of WW1.

@@dane19991 Pretty much, with some minor amendments about saving the world, fighting Neruoi and mention of the witches.... but more or less it's the Strike Witches Worlds version of "Into the Wild Blue Yonder".

People have been wanting a crossover of Strike Witches and GuP for FUCKING YEARS.
Considering that there's also mentions of witches operating on the ground (basically wearing tanks instead of planes), I could totally see it.
Shidekai no Magi would be better for GuP. Strike Witches: Witches of Afrika should get its own anime.

My only question is, if this is a song about Liberion's witches, why are Lucchini and Fernandia singing? Their from Romagna 0-0
Probably cause Charlotte's singing and we KNOW Lucchini's not going to give up a chance to do ANYTHING with her girl...
Because there is only one Liberion witch voiced as of taping of the song, so they couldn't get Gentille and Godfried to sing with her.
