First of all, i want to say my boast is in the Lord ,not myself. When I first prayed for the Holy Spirit baptism I had gone back to the prayer room with two altar workers. Previously, I had become aware that the Holy Spirit was around me but not in me. I had seen other believers that had had an experience I hadn't have. As I knelt, with my hands raised and my eyes closed I heard footsteps, then the pastors voice telling me to stand up and recieve the Holy Spirit. I stood up, with my eyes still closed and my hands raised and immediately saw a window appear at my upper right side. The window had what looked like those old fashioned shutters on the outside ends of it ,and they were wide open. I looked in the window and saw this beautiful blue sky. Then I saw a bright light at the left hand corner inside the window. It then started to move across my field of vision until it reached the center point It then stopped and shined on me. Right away, I felt this warmth moving up my body starting at my ankles. As it continue to rise up my body I felt like my body was being filled with a warm oil. I started rejoicing and thanking the Lord for answering my prayer. After a few minutes I heard the pastors voice in front of me and he said to surrender my tongue to the Holy Spirit I stopped praising the Lord ,opened my mouth and started relaxing my tongue as a way of surrendering it. After a few seconds I felt the Holy Spirit seize control of my tongue and I started fluently speaking in tongues.( I didn't even know what speaking in tongues was) The effect was staggering. Never had I known such pure joy in my life. Later, I thought, no wonder these pentecostals are running the aisles, shouting and dancing. This is how joy is displayed.
The Holy Spirit baptism is how a believer recieves the Holy Spirit. A believer must recieve the Holy Spirit in order to be saved. The word " recieve, in the new testaments' original Greek means " to take hold of". So after belief, repentance, and water baptism the believer must fervently pray for the Holy Spirit.
Amen. Amen powerful
This man. What a teacher
