How to FIX the Landing Pages Report in GA4

but one of the events in the exploration report is session_start, so aren't you excluding that when you exclude (not set) from your Landing Page report? this still doesn't get to the root of WHY (not set) is occurring on these landing pages, unless i missed something. If the session_start event is triggering, why isn't ga4 able to pull the url path when that is happening?

The exploration report we create shows you exactly why you’re seeing ‘not set’ in the landing page report. It’s the result of non-page view events occurring on the landing page. That’s what the exploration report we create reveals.
And the reason you’re seeing session_start when you follow the steps is because you have sessions that don’t include a page_view event.

@@owlsliveintrees the user can start a new session without page_view if they have left the browser open and idle for more than the defined timeout period (30 mins by default), and then made any other actions (not refresh page, which triggers page_view) that triggered a new event and a new session (e.g. click_button)

A scenario: you landed on a page(A) and then opened a new window to another site. After the session expired time (eg. 30min), you opened the page (A) again which is not a pageview or session_start anymore...so it is not a landing page anymore. Hope that makes sense

There is a delay between data being collected and data being processed into the standard reports.

I need a report- Daily Landing page Traffic count report fora date range
The report should display a graph.
This report will help to understand the traffic on the website.
We can add one more dimension for the count that is consider only if the time spent on the site is more than 15 Sec.
