So the dragons you were spawning in were wild dragons, and they cannot be tamed - normally - since you're in Creative Mode, you can use Creative Dragon Meal on them, and then you can ride them.
If u want to ride dragon then you need to get dragon egg ice egg put in water fire put on netherrack and put the netherrack on fire lightning put on ground and put on lightning storm and then use dragon command stick when the egg hatches and make it sit then use dragon meal to make it grow then u use shift right click to put banner or armor or both (u don't need saddle😊)
if you wanna ride a dragon fire dragon:you need a egg end get a netherrack and then place the egg end fire it ıce dragon: there is a ice and a egg in it you need to put in wather lightnnig dragon there is a egg looks like fire dragon egg but if you want a lightning place the egg and the weather need to be thunder thats all

Those had only four limbs, with their arms and wings combined into two limbs and only one set of legs, therefore they are wyverns and not dragons
