I've been aware of beatboxing since I was a kid in the 80s, but until I stumbled upon Taras Stanin in February, I had no idea that it could be so technical, complex, and have musicality.
Both my husband and teenager think beatboxing is like the cringe videos because they're what show up in their feed. So I agree, those cringe videos take attention away from the hard work and professional level of the world's best beatboxers.
I'm so glad Taras went viral. Otherwise I might be missing out on the whole world of beatboxing. And the sense of community with not just beatboxers but their fans has changed my life.

What beatboxing means to the general public: Spencer X, Verbal Ace, Marcus Perez, Kids making jingles with their mouths
What beatboxing means to me: Legitimately breaking down the phenomenon of humans being their own instruments.

I know I’m a fortnight too late, but thanks for the ❤️!
To add: When technology is involved, one becomes their own orchestra.
      I could’ve sworn I posted this reply before… huh… reverse deja vu

I respect you alot my friends also don't like me doing beatbox And I don't feel motivated but I watch these kinda videos I don't give a F what others think. And yeah I am not a cringe one though. Speaking on you you are doing So good for community this video doesn't just open eyes of the non-educated people of art but also motivates alot. So once again thanks for this video.

Another great video, Broly! I agree that the oversaturation of the interwebs with people claiming to be beatboxers that don't carry any real skill or musicality is a negative for the image of beatboxing and it keeps higher quality content from getting the attention it deserves. I like that you included Jcop and Dharni as funny examples - they are talented beatboxers and I wish they could get more attention for their skill instead of just the silliness although I appreciate being able to laugh with them. Taras appeared in a video with Jcop today, I don't know if you saw it (you should!). I like the three examples you provided of those who provide great beatboxing content (especially your use of Same from Taras!), but may I add one more to that list? Improver has some really excellent content in his studio beatbox songs but also in his Uber videos which are both funny and present the viewers with representation of what real beatboxing should be. Thank you for this video and I hope you are well!
    Take care, Broly! 🫶🏻

one thing to point out is that the average person who doesn't beatbox simply doesn't understand the complexity of what real beatboxers do. it frustrates me that a lot of beatboxers just don't get that like bro even if you drop the hardest technical drop in the history of beatbox, the most reaction you can get from them is a smile, and it's even forced

Couldn't agree with you more, but I don't think much can be done about it. Look at Chezame and SXIN after they split. SXIN continued to make mostly good beatbox content while Chezame turned to cringe reactions and other kinds of shitty beatbox videos like emoji battles. Yet Chezame pulls millions of views across so many platforms while SXIN, who still does well, is nowhere near the same level of popularity. Even Beatpella house, who make some amazing long form content, make SOME cringe-ish content from time to time because it does so well. There are some good videos that do go viral like Taras, Stitch, FootboxG etc. but thats usually one massive video. Cringe videos SOMEHOW do consistently well, probably because its just something to laugh at instead of actual skill. Sorta like Alexinho's recent GBB elim. It didnt deserve top 8, but it was funny and a little cringey in my opinion, and i love Alexinho. Goes to show that apparently childish humour is valued more than skill. Basically, it would be nice it good beatbox went viral, but cringe stuff just does better with social media algorithms.

Those cringe beatbox videos may be funny for some brainrot users, but they give a false picture about the art of beatbox imo,

Idk if Paige deserved to be grouped in with the joker stuff lol she seems like a nice lady. Beatbox is basically the Johnny b Goode scene from back to the future. It may be ahead of its time and a lot of people are not ready for this kind of music. But their kids will love it.

One thing. Nice idea here but. The little girl? She cannot be considered hurting beatbox at all.. she is just a child. And the thing in her mouth was an instrument, she wasn't even beatboxing... i think your misreading that one big time.
