Cheeto's interview skills just keep getting better and better. His ability to change on the fly his questions or tone to make the guest feel as comfortable as possible is super impressive.
Really? I say this with all the love in my heart for a top tier comedian but that was brutal. I felt so bad for him the whole time.

I hope im not the only one that enjoyed this episode. I loved that there werent too many jokes or trying to make it a usual whiskey ginger ep., i enjoyed hearing a master of his craft speak about stuff you dont hear from regular interviews. Please pepper these kinds of episodes in the algo-rithm ❤

Idk. He’d have had a much better chance at getting cast if he’d been his normal, jokey self. Listen to how Soderbergh talks about Timothy Olifont. Instead, Andrew just spout bs rambling fluff for most of the interview.

So nice to see Soderbergh! Schizopolis is one of my favorite movies and he rarely pops up on podcasts. I'm interested in this brandy and very interested in the mysterious collages that no one speaks about.
I know he only worked as a producer on it, but Godless is one of the best TV series I have ever seen

This was surprising to see pop up, but does make a lot of sense. Soderbergh loves comedy, and often casts comedians in roles. Tom Papa has been in multiple of his projects and Stavros was just in his newest series Command Z

People complaining about Steven's voice have missed out on a wonderful podcast. He is an absolute genius filmmaker, and a fascinating interview. As we get older, yes our bodies break down, things change. Get over it you absolute dorks.
I think he was off axis to the mic and they needed to lower the gate threshold. Sounds like it was cutting off the feed if he got too quiet.
what a get for santino. Love Soderbergh. My favorite work of his is The Knick.
Seriously, every single episode is riveting. The minimalist score is perfect and plays up the tension. To me it's up there with The Sopranos and Breaking Bad and whatever else people consider the greatest series ever. Just a shame it's only two seasons.
@@williambartholmey5946 agree with everything you are saying. It's my favorite of all time honestly above sopranos and breaking bad. It is a shame that it lasted only 2 seasons. I believe they're coming back for a third season or a reboot with soderbergh and andre holland who played dr.edwards.

What a great guest and intriguing conversation. I am very much looking forward to Soderberg's upcoming films. We're lucky to have a director who is passionate about filmmaking, storyline, and the big picture of society as whole working in the entertainment business. And how bout our Ginger! Does he get great guests or what?! When he first cracked me up on YMH in 2020 I couldn't have foreseen him having these deep and insightful conversations. Thanks!
For a guy with as sharp a brain as Santino, one of the fastest, most clever guys in comedy, my interviewer brain can just hear him spinning and struggling between some of these questions. He must be dying inside.
