It would've been better if you placed the bow right were you gled the two ends of the elastic band. That way the glued part would be hidden thankd to the satin ribbon. They're cute though. Im about to make one for my daughter
I'm thinking she did because the glue will become hard as it dries and she may not have been able to scrunch it up as easy. I have not tried yet, but I am going to!!
Leah Shelton Great question! The wax on the dental floss sticks to itself as you wrap it around and seems to hold the bow into place. It makes bow making easier for me! Thread will obviously do the trick, I just prefer using dental floss.
I purchased them at Ikea for around $7. They are called "pinking shears" and I know that there are a lot of places that sell them such as wal-mart. Check in the sewing section. Thanks!
The elastic is called Fold Over Elastic and you can purchase it at a craft or fabric store. I have seen it at Hobby Lobby, JoAnn's and Michaels, to name a few! You can also purchase it online. This shop carries a great variety: www.sunshineshoppesupply.com/Stretch_Elastic_and_Trim_s/1832.htm. Thank you for watching!
Wow. Looks very simple and pretty to do. Hopefully mine comes out this nice. Best part no sowing needed. Thanks for sharing.

So cute! Wondering if this tutorial would work to make tiny bow ties for newborn boys? Without the pinking shears I guess?
Love your videos thanks !do you have a copy of the pattern to a larger bow ??
this is really cute thanks for this tutorial
Hi, do you have a larger pattern for larger fabric bows? I love this! I tried to make a larger one but it did not turn out:)
Can you use thread instead of flosse
What's the dimension of the shape before you cut?
Great tutorial! I'm curious- is their a particular reason you use dental floss instead of thread?
