The Jedi archives definitely have all the names of the Jeidi and Padawans so it makes sense to change the name. It's also an hommage to Janus Kasmir that helped him survive Order 66.
Maul constantly just calling Ezra his Apprentice is hilarious, Ezra's just given up correcting him and decided to let Maul have his delusion 😂 Also I'll always love that little scene Between Kanan & Ezra where Kanan says he never blamed Ezra for his blindness, Ezzy needed to hear that from him since it'd clearing been eating him up, oh and the hug 😭
