When I went to Egypt, the natives call themselves Masri or Masry means Egyptian or of an Egyptian descent. When I went to France, the French people call Germany ; Allemagne. In the Scandinavian languages Germany is known as Tyskland, in Polish as Niemcy, in Portuguese as Alemanha,in Italian as Germania, in Dutch as Duitsland and in Spanish as Alemania. Not to be forgotten, the exonym Germans use is Deutschland. Most people refer to Germany as Alemanni because of tribes of Germany that were one of the largest cultural groups of the region in the late period of the Roman Empire and early era of the Medieval Period.
The irony is that Somalians* have unique names for other nations. For Example, America is known as *Mareekan*. Under the BBC Somalia, there is a tab for the country Mareykanka. Nobody goes around saying; "we are called America or Americans".
If the name of a country ends in i,e or a it is usually followed by an *an*. Below are some explains.
Ethiopia --- Ethiopians
Kenya --- Kenyans
Djibouti --- Djiboutians
Sierra Leone -- Sierra Leoneans
Ghana -- Ghanaians
Etc etc...
Sengal -- Senegalese
Congo -- Congolese

@@sayla1996 You are incorrect. The word Somali which originated from Soo Maal (go milk) has meaning ONLY In the Somali language. Our ethnicity is Somali and not Somalian (which makes absolutely no sense). The reason you stated is why foreigners make the mistake to call us Somalians. We don't like to be called Somalian hence why 99% of Somalis would correct them.
You don't see:
Indians called Indianese
Chinese called Chinians
Etc.
It is incorrect NOUN. It is pompous if you to tell him to disregard THE CORRECT name for our ethnicity and bring up UNRELATED examples to confuse him. You are delusional. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️

I'm from Georgia Atlanta to be exact and I would love to try international foods. I'm willing to try anything. But here in Atlanta I think it's unlimited. We have everything here.
