This tour is going to be like nothing we have ever done. We’ll be solo (can we still call it “solo” if there are two of us?). We’ll be playing acoustic (mostly). We’ll be reading from our memoir High School, and performing songs from the new album Hey, I’m Just Like You. And we’ll be playing a collection of songs from our older records (don’t worry!). We’ve pulled our favorite moments from all the old video footage from our teenage years we discovered last year, and we will be screening clips throughout the evening. We have so much in store for you. It’s going to be a super special evening that you don’t want to miss. We’ve been away from you all for nearly two years and can’t wait to see you.

While writing High School, Tegan and Sara discovered two cassette tapes with dozens of the first songs they ever wrote between the ages of 15 and 17 - tapes that had been unheard for twenty years. Defiant and melodramatic, the melodies and lyrics on these rough tapes captured the exultation and grief of first loves, first losses, ecstatic kiss-offs, and psychedelic tributes to friendship. Hey, I'm Just Like You is made up entirely of new studio recordings of those early songs, recasting Tegan and Sara’s remarkable innate songwriting talents as teenagers, and allowing these previously unreleased songs to benefit from the studio expertise they have gained in the past two decades as professional musicians.
“This is a record we never could have made as teenagers, full of songs we never could have written as adults,” says Tegan. Adds Sara, “With only minor tweaks to lyrics and structure, we tried to remain true to the original essence of each song.”
Tegan And Sara have have received three Juno Awards, a Grammy nomination, and a Governor General’s Performing Arts Award (Canada’s highest national honor in the arts). In 2016 they created the Tegan and Sara Foundation, which fights for health, economic justice, and representation for LGBTQ+ girls and women.

Hi Chael, my pleasure! I just posted "Call It Off." I have a few more videos of varying quality. Tegan and Sara were very clear about not wanting anyone in the audience to be distracted by the glowing light of a phone/camera, so I held the camera low and covered the display screen. Of course, not seeing my own screen made it really hard to frame the videos right. I got one of "I'll Be Back Someday" with Sara centered but the left half of Tegan cut off, and another of "Don't Believe The Things They Tell You" where I shot mostly the curtain, but I think I have 1 or 2 more that are good enough to share. :)

Hi Rania, I'm so sorry, I would love to help recapture that, but I didn't get "Boyfriend." The 5 videos I shot are here in this RUclips playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLwdc0qZNx0tYLBnqOO8Z9WPL02ESHlOPU . I *am* sitting on a sixth video ("I'll Be Back Someday"), which the perfectionist in me is reluctant to post, since the left half of Tegan gets cut off for half the video. (Tegan and Sara asked that people avoid distracting others with the glow of their cameras, so I was hiding my display screen and couldn't quite frame my shot right).
