its for the death cutscene/animation. the ender dragon dies in the same way as the wither storm so they used the ender dragon technique (lots of wither storm addons use this)
They use the ender dragon because it's has a rendering of 100,000 chunks and it has many animations so the can edit it to their own so don't complain bruh
