Thanks for providing an english audio to this. German is a beautiful language but to have audio as is the case now, in English or subtitles help to reach a wider audience.
I bought this very model about two years ago. it is a great razor I only have to be careful with the little comb in the middle if I press hard when going against the grain it really hurts the skin so much that bumps or ingrown hairs may appear later. The technique that works for me is to wash my face with a preshave soap, Cube with menthol is a good option, then I apply lather, not very thick, just enough to let the razor glide. Series 7 is great when the pressure is not applied at all. A face wash for sensitive skin like Cetaphil with a moisturizer from the same brand helps me a lot.
Shaves close, but... Misses many hairs with long smooth strokes, requires a scrubbing action with overlapping ~1-2cm strokes. Dry shaving leaks clippings out the bottom as it cuts, use it over the sink, clean it before putting in your travel kit. I miss the built-in trimmer on my Norelco, swapping heads is a nuisance.
Between all the shavers we tested both on this channel and between 3 guys in the team as well I´d say either a OneBlade or one of the high end models like the Series 9 from Braun. Third place in my opinion would be the Series 9000 from Philips. But to be totally honest with you: none of the electrical shavers we tested could compare to a classical wet shave. Its just not as smooth. The high end Series as well as OneBlades too get close to that though!
Please recommend me a machine to shave, I have sensitive skin and I'm suffering with razor bumps with traditional shave. I need a machine to get very close shave + avoid razor bumps Thank you
I cant speak for everyone(because skin types are different) but we think that foilshavers provide smoother results.(they get closer to the skin) The downside though is that its not so easy on the skin. Rotary shavers dont provide results as smooth as foilshavers but dont irritate the skin as much. At least in our expirience. So you could try a Philips Series 7000 or 9000.
Hmm. There are no big differences in regards to the charging time. at least with the devices we testet so far. pretty much all of them have a charging time of 60 minutes and provide a quickcharge of some sort. Looking at your criteria I´d propably pick the Series 3 from Braun. Its not that expensive & the results where decent for its price point.
Not that great. It works if you take your sweet time. But it wont get as smooth as with a wet shave and is a bit tedious if you want to shave your whole head with it.
Not really, no. They do wear out and it would be better to get new ones eventually. That could also happen after 1.5 years for example. (depending on how it was maintained etc.) But I also had a couple of devices where I didnt change the blades at all for 3-4 years +. And they worked well until the lifetime of the product itself ended. In general I´d say its not mandatory.
Hmm, good question. It has good reviews on Amazon though. Difficult to tell why costco customers dislike it that much. Maybe costco has better alternatives to offer. That could make sense at least.

Your welcome! That was our thought as well. We want to reach out more if we can. We are working on different languages at the moment :)

Braun Series 7 works well for men of Color!
And pretty gentle on skin, no bumps! Get the Cleaning Station also.

I have a question, with your experience, which shaver can shave as close as razor blade can?

Hi! Which is better Braun S7 or Phillips 7000? Thanks
The Braun S7 provided smoother shaving results.
How’s head shaving with it?
Not that great. It works if you take your sweet time. But it wont get as smooth as with a wet shave and is a bit tedious if you want to shave your whole head with it.
Is it mandatory to change the blades every 2 years?

Why does this get such bad reviews online? Especially on Costco's website.

unfortunately this shaver didn't meet my expectation and didn't give me a good shave
I cleaned it in water. It's now quiet & close shave.
