Happy day, Mr. Brenton! Been going through more of your videos, trying to go from the oldest to the newest. Last nite, watching some of your videos I found myself on the edge of my seat in suspense! It was great! I watch travel videos all the time. Never have seen them from the water, nor with someone with such wisdom…and good taste in music. I love Rush too. :) HAH! You have excellent music on your videos. BIg blessings, Brother! Me and the kitties send you and Wavey love from snowy Oregon!
Hi Eva :) I hear Matt mentioning Rush once in a while. That no one is that wise with lyrics. Sometimes they are! Rush would be one of them. Living on the waterways is a great way to sidestep 90% of the modern world's problems. More people, more problems. Less people, less problems:)
Ninety percent sounds like an extreme advantage. I watch your videos and think you have so much courage. What an incredible way to cruise through this strange place. Regarding music, I think Yes has the most wisdom of any of the bands. They knew what time it was way back in the 60’s…and like you they carry on. Pretty sure Jon Anderson is a real angel living on earth.
Jim Rhoads are you taking about like one of those old style kerosene type? I remember those when camping as a kid. I notice the cabin warms up a lot when boiling water for coffee too ;)
What works great for heating small area's heated is I take those small portable in car heaters and plug it into a hard wired or alligator clips power adapter to a battery, use it in tents , ice shacks or whatever, just have to charge your batteries once in awhile and u can hang them anywhere.
with that unvented heater.. it is safer to use it underway.. when there is a breeze to move some air though the boat..than at night..when sleeping in a small space with an unvented heater is life threatening.. Get A Carbon Monoxide detector.. or a vent or both.!
Hi Brenton, I really feel like i am going along with you! VERY enjoyable! It would be funny if that ominous plant you called Mordor, made taffy or maybe paper hats. But I don't think so.
That poor miss treated dog. You should be ashamed of yourself, all that sunshine, naps, and fresh air. I am not a boater by any means but this trip is cool. The locks would make me a little nervous. Keep up the good work on the vids. Questions..... Are you cooking on the boat or eating on shore most of the time? have you done any fishing yet? I am envious, have a great trip!
Jimbo Holcomb hi jimbo, wavey is one abused little animal. Someone needs to call the police! ;) I cook all my own meals. I'm super frugal and cheap. It's the only way i can afford to do what i do. I'll do a video on food at some point. Thanks for coming along eh )
just curious...does your LP heater cause a lot of moisture in the cabin? Enough to fog the windows and droplets of water on the ceiling. I have a portable Mr. Heater and trying to find something better. Mine also does not have a thermostat and that's not been good either. I did the candles before and did not see a measurable temperature rise...BUT... it did feel warmer. I think it may have lowered the humidity. Your heater may get a work out before you hit much warmer weather!
jim2shoes1 hi jim. The heater I have in here now does cause some condensation. I only turn it on in the evening when anchored, and only for a little while. I also just run the pilot light, that keeps in warm in here (other than when it snowed!) I plan on installing a vented heater with an actually pipe next time. I use those in my truck camper and ice shanty. If one has a few extra bucks, a stainless dickinson wall mounted heater with the double walled vent (one layer for exhaust and the other to draw air from outside ) is the way to go. About 800 bucks the last I checked.
@@backwatersandbackroads We're the same age, and right now i'm having an adventure living vicariously through you! You passed right by my house, and a Marina that i just sold a few months ago. (I called my friend that owns the marina in Demopolis and informed him about the rude person also) I'm getting ready for my own adventure, thank you for re-inspiring me!

Peanut butter and jelly, some candles, a dog and a nap with the snow falling on the water. Sounds like heaven!
Your beagle's a beautiful dog, she's got a sweet face.

Love Yes also. Something about those 70s prog rock bands. Kansas is another one. "How far to the point of no return" ;)
Right there with you man 💜 @@backwatersandbackroads

Looks like blast other than the crappy overcast weather
Del Fam that only lasted for a coiookw days. It was 60 here today. Beats sitting in my ice castle on the beach for 5 months waiting for spring ;)
The industry in the Midwest is one of the most interesting things to see.!
Use Rainex on the outside and Fogex on the inside of all windows and the windows stay clear and clean. They will shed water and never fog up.
Nice work B!!! Now catch a fish for us please.
Howdy Sean ;) my guess is they make hostess cupcakes there-or maybe monster energy drinks ;)
Looking forward to your visit to Ste. Genevieve MO. Established in the mid 1700s by French pioneers, the oldest settlement in the state.
Mike no kidding. I'll look it up ;) thanks for the tip eh
Adorable dog also why does it not have a life jacket on when it’s not inside
Thanks;) sometimes she lives dangerously. We put it on when passing through the locks.

One word, dehumidifier
At 6:43 you should have played “living on the edge” …
Why didn't you show going through the locks? that's the best part of a river adventure video :0
I have loads of going through locks footage. Keep watching,)
