Yoko's take on her arrangement for this version: "“In the introduction, I wanted to create a little bit of doubt, to make something seem a bit different and strange - then follow it up with the familiar refrain, to make the listener feel as though they’ve come home." I DEFINITELY felt like I came home when this showed up on my screen that fateful January evening :')
My uncle bought me KH1 when I was eight years old. He was like an older brother to me, and the only one that understood my passion for games. He has since passed away, and at twenty-three years old I can honestly say that I am beyond excited to finish this journey in honor of him.
It was beautiful! The song was everything I hoped it would be while I walk down the aisle. I'm really glad I picked it as my husband and I are both really big Kingdom Hearts fans
This is absolutely beautiful. I was worried this might not hold the same impact as the previous themes, but it certainly proved me wrong. The intensity and build up of emotion is truly exquisite. Perfect for KH3, imo.

Yoko is so creative. Most probably won’t know why this is so good but in musical terms she took Dearly Beloved (which was composed of a minor key) and makes an intro melody in a major key version. Then, she goes into the minor, adding major harmonies and chords to the song. Brilliant 👏👏
Yeeeeah, a lot of people who say that the song "don't" sound like a dearly beloved, are people who would like to have obtained a lazy remaster from a Dearly Beloved standard. I love this new rendition!
K. Idk what that means but I love it lol Ok Ricky Bobby references aside your breakdown does make me appreciate Yoko’s artistry more even though idk what anything your said means
Joa I don’t think it means they want something lazy, but more akin to ruclips.net/video/0ov4odVsS3U/видео.html The beginning sounds kind of upbeat, and isn’t the kind of tone you’d expect from a version of Dearly Beloved
@@jpduval8 That's a lazy arrangment. It's just the same as kh2, but changing and adding new instruments. The kh3 rendition is better, bc Yoko changed the key and the chord progression in some points.
Joa that’s an unfair assessment as every version is the same as KH except changing and adding some instruments. But point being the epic tone it has. The thing people don’t like is the first 45 seconds. Not because it isn’t beautiful, but because it doesn’t feel like it’s indicative of the tone of KH3 in the beginning. BBS’s and KH2 ‘s versions are my favorite because they so perfectly encapsulates the tone of their games respectively. In bbs rendition you can feel ATV’s hope the the violin chord, and them spiraling into the darkness through the piano chord. KH2’s version felt like the arrangement from 1 had grown up alongside sora. The beginning of this arrangement feels like the battles already been won then at the 45 sec mark it starts to feel like a dearly beloved fitting of the final battle. That’s just my opinion though. I still love the song. I’ve probably listened to it 50 x and I’m gonna listen to it probably another 100 before the game comes out. I’m sure when I get to experience it on the actual menu and play the game I will be more enamored with it. This is the only version of Dearly Beloved I experienced for the first time outside the context of the game so it’s not really a fair comparison.
It’s such a triumphant ‘welcome back’ to everyone who’s been on this journey since the beginning. A proper prelude to a grand finale. Edit: you guys can stop being semantic now. Any KH fan knows this isn’t the end. I meant “grand finale” in the sense that the saga was over. Didn’t think so many of you wouldn’t understand that lmao.
True kingdom hearts veterans can appreciate this master piece. We’ve gone from children playin an innocent adventure with Disney characters to fighting against something so much bigger as adults. This is an intro truly befitting to those who’ve made it this far since 14 years ago.
what about those who appreciate art in general? I only started playing kingdom hearts last year sadly because has a kid growing up to an adult I always played other games I was always on new consoles or I watched a lot of tv and movies. So kingdom hearts really was never on my radar but my brother played when he was a kid luckily. I always ignored him about it when he would mention it when I was a teenager because at first it sounded boring even childish overall I really just didn't care man what an idiot I was back then I was to busy worrying about my phone or other games that was coming out and stuff like that. But I slowly but surely was getting into this interesting series. To be honest the game play wasn't what got me into wanting to play it was the art style, music, emotions, excitement and of course the story. I instantly argued with my brother which one I should play first because I wanted to play all of them in order so badly that way I would be able to get a better understanding (LMFAO) but to be real with you guys to me kingdom hearts is more than a video game it's a work of art anyone can appreciate art. all of your childhoods must have been amazing playing the kingdom heart series growing up has a kid man y'all are really lucky I'm so jealous but sadly not everyone gets/got the chance to play it has a kid or even as a teen so keep that in mind. BTW no no no no no this isn't just an intro just for those that played growing up playing kingdom hearts 14 years ago the song is called dearly beloved that means the song is on here because we are dearly loved for being here playing this magnificent series for being fans in general to not only the series but also the community so Disney and Square Enix are basically being appreciative that they put this beautiful song In every kingdom hearts game and because it just goes greatly with the games as well and to thank us for playing I'm sorry to correct you. back to my question why not just let fans be appreciative for this exquisite piece? No H8 just asking and sorry for the long paragraph. Stay Blessed Stay Happy Stay Wholesome And Stay safe UwU
Absolutely stunning. This is everything I could’ve wanted and more. Definitely feels final. I can’t believe we will finally be able to play this game in less than two weeks. It’s been a hell of a wait, but it’s nearly here.
Thank you so much for your renditions, Sam. It's been an incredible journey waiting for this final conclusion. The community this series has built has been one of the greatest parts of my life.
I remember launch night. I had already graduated from high school but I was in a dark place. But finally seeing KH3 boot up and listening to Utada Hikaru and then this song play made my year all the more better. I can genuinely say that this game made my life a bit better during my darkest days.
@@strangerdanger5954 starts with kingdom hearts goes to kh2 then hits the full on walts with kh dream drop distance. The brighter tones feel very final kind of like the emotional tones a little better. But its growing on me.
@@King_Of_Wolves I definitely got that. And there's also a very subtle similarity to Re:Coded's DB at 1:56, and one for BbS at 1:58. But I don't hear every version coming into 1:10 to 1:15 😓
So I literally just heard this for the first time due to not having a console to play the game and just being generally busy and put down with life to check out KH3 on RUclips despite it being released almost a year ago now. I was really surprised with the cheerful rendition they did of the theme that has been beautifully remixed time and time again, but it didn't carry that same feeling as before. While a sweet welcome back, it didn't have that same magic for me as the previous versions . But I was not prepared for when 0:50 hit... At that moment, I can't even describe what happened. I instantly started to choke and cry, if it was for how good the orchestral music felt or that nostalgic sound, or for the wave of memories that hit me from my childhood, I won't know. Going to my cousin's house and watching them play while being told I was 'too young' to play just so they could get more time, getting a playstation 2 and being able to play for myself with friends. Countless days Hiding my DS under my pillow at night so I could play, and constantly getting caught. From before my mother passed away, from a time when life felt good and I could enjoy video games and innocence. Then as the crescendo of the music hit at 1:27, the trumpets, the co-ordination of piano and violin... I can't think of another time where I cried and broke down like this, all while experiencing that rare shiver and indescribable feeling throughout your body when music really takes a hold of you. It all hit me at once, yet they weren't tears and moans of immense sadness. This is a hard part to describe, they were tears of.. Just a general appreciation of what i've experienced so far, and a longing for the past in nostalgic context. Happiness that I could feel like this, at a time in my life where I'm dealing with adulthood and don't have any special motive or feeling as to where i'm heading. And for the next minute that's all I did, cry. Like many others i'm sure you've felt the same and all I can really say is thank you to the amazing people that put this game, it's story, characters and music together. PS:I had to pause the music just to write this because it started all over and I almost started heavily crying again. I never comment on videos, maybe four in total beforehand, and one-liner jokes. But I had to transfer all my feelings unto here, as a memento that hopefully many others feel the same way and appreciate this like I do. Thank you Kingdom Hearts.
I'll never forget those days as a kid I'd sit at the main menu listening to Dearly Beloved because there was no RUclips back then. This iteration summarizes the series as a whole, embracing us to embark on yet another epic, heartfelt journey. However, this one will be our last. 15 MORE DAYS!!!! *Alexa play Treasured Memories*
All I have to say is that the first 15 seconds just broke my soul. Like a rush of feelings and emotions and I just teared up so hard when that piano got louder...
Gather your friends, stand up tall, walk towards your destiny... Raise your keyblades to the sky, look at the shinning stars... Look at the distnace and see the beautiful setting sun... Tonight, we save the world from a threat one last time... We are all a part... Of Kingdom Hearts
I don't care what anyone says. This is my favorite rendition of Dearly Beloves of all time. It really felt like each entry was building up the song, making it more complicated, turning it into this masterpiece.
Kh's made me excited for my journey Kh2's made me sad in a way Kh bbs, Re:COM, 358/2, DDD, 0.2, and X, made me anticipate Kh3's makes me both sad and hopeful
When I started my quest in this game seventeen years ago, I had no idea what I was going to get into. This series has grown with me... and now here I am, on the brink of turning twenty-four, and am about to take part in the turning point of one of the greatest games of all time. I've learned patience; I've learned pain; but most importantly, I've learned to never give up no matter the odds... But I'm not the only one who's had to learn these important lessons. Everyone who's picked up a controller and played Kingdom Hearts has known these lessons, and there's no doubt in my mind that everyone's taken them to heart, like myself. Thank you for the seventeen years of magic, Kingdom Hearts. I'm hoping for another seventeen more after this final battle against Xehanort. From a dearly beloved fan of the series.
It feels like to pick up my key blade I forged trough all this trials just for this last journey. I want to witness the end of the story. To witness the end of an era. And my childhood
Ah! I can't! I'm tearing up, this sounds so *FINAL* . The end of Kingdom Hearts. Finally, I can be free from those loose ends from the previous titles (hopefully).
This isn't the final game. Kingdom Hearts III is the end of the Dark Seeker Saga. I'm pretty sure after the game comes out, Square and Disney will discuss development on the next storyline arc for the franchise

Never played Kingdom Hearts, but this Soundtrack is amazing. Yoko Shimomura is a great talent. Such a beautiful song, literally makes me cry. But not for sadness, it just pulls so many different memories out of my mind, can't even describe what i feel. Thank you for that!
I picked up my copy yesterday, day one, and I popped it in, did the update, and as soon as this faded in I couldn’t help but cry. It feels so final, and I don’t think I can say goodbye to a series that’s been with me for over a decade ... thank you Tetsuya Nomura, for making such a crazy, goofy, convoluted masterpiece.
To this day, this remains as my favorite Dearly Beloved. I don't usually cry when playing games, but this just tugs at the heart strings. It's just so beautiful.
While I love the KH series... it’s goddamn confusing and doesn’t answer a good 75% of your questions xD The music however, is incredible thanks to Yoko Shimamura. If you like this, look into the rest of their music.
It may just be the sound of the ocean in the background, but this song reminds me of how I used to feel as a little kid. The feeling of adventure and intrigue just on the horizon. I've been off KH for a while now but this rekindles my excitement to play KH3. I'll see you all on launch day!
It hurts me to say this. Kh3>Kh2 Even with nostalgia pulling at my heart, this version of Dearly Beloved is miles ahead of KH2. Can't wait for this 13 year journey to end soon. Edit: Comment was made before kh3 released, and specifically talked about Dearly Beloved......
@@Dunkingsonn I knew someone would bite in without understanding the context of the statement 😂😂 never did I bring up gameplay or story for KH. I only brought up Dearly Beloved. @@SkeletonNinja If people combat Kingdom Hearts II's Dearly Beloved with Kingdom Hearts III's then you know Kingdom Hearts II's still holds a candle to that of Kingdom Hearts III (Which is now my current favorite in the series). Kingdom Hearts II's Dearly Beloved is a masterpiece of a song, but Kingdom Hearts III's just blew it all out of the park. No one's being edgy or cool, they're just stating their opinions. If anyone's being edgy, then by all means, look in the mirror and see who's staring back.
Me: Cmon, the Dearly Beloved for KH2 is always the best. Me, after listening to KH3’s Dearly Beloved: *_is on the floor crying_* And this was actually true.
The feeling I get while listening to this... it's like opening an old photo album you haven't looked at in a long time, turning the pages slowly and reliving every moment you see in the pictures. The way certain memories are soft and faded and others jump out at you, bright and crisp. How in the end, when you close the book and let out the breath you'd been holding, you have a deep and inexplicable feeling that you've finally come home.
For anybody who feels familiar with this particular melody of Dearly Beloved, it's also taken from 'Someday My Prince Will Come' (or the opening melody before Disney films) from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves (1937). It's more like a medley of Square Enix's song and Disney's song. This theme fits to the final episode as it ties up all the loose ends between the world of Disney and the world of Square Enix into one world, the world of Kingdom Hearts.
having dearly beloved go from plaintive pondering to the music equivalent of a warm hug is such an effective way to say “welcome home” to millions of people who have been waiting for this game
By far and away my favorite version of this song, which is saying something because the nostalgia of the title screen songs kh1&2 were so memorable and fond
This one is prefect for kh3 since its like a colab of the different sounds you hear from all the games. Just like kh3 is one big colab of all the games. My fav is still birth by sleep, but I will still love this one as well.
I honestly sat listening to this 4 times on the menu before I pressed new game. It felt so welcoming and made me so glad to live in an age where both music, visuals and narrative can all come together to make such a beautiful tale. R.I.P to all the fans who never made it to see this game made.
It's really wonderful to see all these optimistic, supportive, and bright comments people are leaving. Makes you believe that there really are genuine good people out there, both close and far. Kudos to you all, and have fun on this new adventure!!!
When I was little I always wanted to walk down the aisle to Dearly Beloved because it's so beautiful but realized as I got older it would be too sad of a song for a wedding but now this? This is what I'm talkin' about! ✨💖
Don't know if anyone else noticed, but the introduction also contains the motifs from Disney's "When you wish upon a star*. It's not the entire motif (probably due to copyright), but damn does it hit hard.
After beating the game and getting 100% it was worth the wait. Sure those that didn’t play the side games were lost and even those that did stay up to the series were lost. And yes there are even some who hated the game based on their expectations which is understandable but then there are those “skyward’s channel” that look down upon it and I say ignore them. You’re the one playing the game and experiencing something that seems impossible but is still possible. I loved every part of it. Of course there’s parts that were disliked or hated but looking back on it isn’t the mystery and curiosity and development of these characters what we love. Kairi got treated bad but at the end of the day you have to realize your mistakes and move on. This game should have come sooner yes but honestly I’m just grateful that it even came out and that this beautiful franchise has enough momentum to move forward into something unforgettable.
I don’t even know how to describe this theme....it’s just so perfect. The subtle wave crashes in the background...the peacefulness of it..the optimism..the triumph..the simplicity yet complexity of it. Ahhhhh I can’t 😭
After ages of waiting I have to admit I didn't care much for the game at the end but when I first booted the game up and 0:25 hit during the menu fade in, I completely cracked and started sobbing like a baby. I always feel the same chest ache when I come back and listen to it. Gorgeous chord work.
I'm tearing up listening to this..kingdom hearts has been a constant throughout my life ever since 2003. I got it for birthday gift 6 months after my mom died. It was what I needed. Now, almost 16 years later, my love for this series has grown so immense. The purity and childlike fun of this serie means so much to me. These characters mean so much to me. Finally, January 29th we get to see how the Xehanort saga ends. It's gonna be emotional. But it's gonna be great.
As someone who grew up with the series this OST is perfect and here's why. The music starts off simple, only playing a few notes at a time while gradually getting more and more complex. As if the music was growing up alongside the lifelong fans. While also throwing in just a flurry of instruments playing notes and cords in a fashion that feels like your heart is about to burst. It then brings it all home at the start of those notes we all have come to know and love. Finally ending with the sound of waves crashing on a beach, the very beach where our journey began ❤️
This game and this song in particular really oozes that "senior year victory lap" vibe and I love everything about it. There are things to do still, but KH2 was the real hard, angsty part. Sora feels so relaxed, comfortable, and free in this game compared to 2. There's a specific feeling of childlike wonder in that victory lap around that age. You're so close to being done, that anything challenges in front of you feel doable. Most of your teen angst has washed away, you have a better grasp on who you are, comfortable being yourself, etc. It's such a specific feeling and I hope I'm not the only person that feels this way about KH3 and this song.
Mmhm I feel that way too. The KH saga as a whole mirrors the lives of many players including me as we grow from childhood to adulthood. We start off in the beginning in a fantastical adventure with our childhood eyes in KH1, to struggling through obstacles, pains, and loss in KH2. Sometimes we felt like we don't know who we are anymore, your innocent child self is a stranger to you. But now in KH3... we have made it through. Things may or may not have all been settled, but you are stronger now. You know yourself better than anyone and have learned to accept everything about you. And yet still this song at the title screen reminds us that our childlike wonder hasn't completely faded away. It's like being able to accomplish what you've always dreamed of doing when you were young. I find that beautiful and hope that many more players will get to that point too
Hi, buddy. Yeah. You. You that is reading this comment. Im just passing by to say that it has been a tough year, all this mess, but, you are amazing, and you matter, somehow. You are important. The only thing Ive done is play a little bit of 358 days and a little bit of the PSP game (I forgot the name). But even not having played a single kingdom hearts game, this track made me genuinely shed a tear.
I still remember when I got the game, and just loaded into the title screen for the first time, just... a lot of emotions began to rise up, seeing the title screen, the music... i was thinking. 'wow... I actually made it to Kh3?' I was doubting myself for a few minutes, if I was ready to play it, then around that time 0:35 hit and I was like. what are you saying? Just do it, it's worked before, hasn't it? and to this day Kh3 is still one of my favorite games that I own on ps4. I wish I could re-experience everything in this series for the first time, again.
I just got Kingdom Hearts 3 for my birthday yesterday. I figured I was in for massive amounts of nostalgia, but I didn’t expect it to hit me like a train. I cried a bit when I heard this again. So many memories❤️
Im kinda sad that i didnt grow up with the series (cause i wasnt born when the first game came out) but im glad that im playing this game now. This is becoming one of my favorite video game series (mine is the legend of zelda) of all time and im glad that a great story is told. I just got the collection recently for christmas including the third game and im playing thru all of them for the first time and its been a blast. I love everything about this game. I know im gonna have one hell of a time.
It doesn't matter how many times I listen to this song, or it's many remixes, Dearly Beloved is a summation of my entire life, and there's no other way I'd have it. As I played each game (not in the year it was released, mind), and kept up with every news release about Kingdom Hearts 3, to finally have experienced this game Day 1, and to know that many before me did not finish, as I have, this song evolved from childhood wonder to dark cynicism to a somber reminder. It never fails to bring me to tears, and that's okay. Sometimes, we just need to let the music take us away.
i literally remember being like 10 when I booted up KH3 for the first time, it was a month before my birthday when it came out so I asked for it to be an advance birthday gift. I got the game and heard this song. I started crying. I played the games since I was around 6 and this felt like *the* moment of Kingdom Hearts. I'm 15 now, and every so often I revisit this complicated but beautiful series because it reminds me of where I came from. Sora shaped my personality so I always thought to myself 'what would he do?' when I was in a tough spot. Thank you Kingdom Hearts for giving me something I won't ever let go.

Edit: you guys can stop being semantic now. Any KH fan knows this isn’t the end. I meant “grand finale” in the sense that the saga was over. Didn’t think so many of you wouldn’t understand that lmao.
i love that comment
For me it's like a welcome home
Kh3 its not a grand finale to the series but Xehanort saga
Its perfect. It tells you “You waited for too long but now it’s here.”
So true !!
Every time I go into the comments of one of these "Dearly Beloved" videos there's always some sad ass comment putting me in my feels 😭😭😭
No cap bruh lol
People love to over share in RUclips comments. Ain’t no one tryna hear about your dead grandma.
Yoko was able to maintain the emotion of the original while adding the sense of triumph. This song is a masterpiece and a journey
1:25 that hit so hard in my heart

That gave me goosebumps
You know what it sounds like: This was really it. Supposed to be the best one, but really the one that killed the franchise
@@cloudshines812 franchise is far from dead.

True kingdom hearts veterans can appreciate this master piece. We’ve gone from children playin an innocent adventure with Disney characters to fighting against something so much bigger as adults. This is an intro truly befitting to those who’ve made it this far since 14 years ago.
Leo couldn’t have said it better
so true, i think this is perfect
Exactly
what about those who appreciate art in general?
You said it friend. I love you and all the KH fans for this comment.
Play this at my funeral.
With a rap
I want the same
Yesh

I played this for my 3 month old daughter today and she instantly stopped crying and started smiling ❤️
You better get her into kingdom hearts ASAP
No better time to get her into playing them!
Beyond The Guitar On me it had the opposite effect.

And then the ceiling fan clapped
Absolutely stunning. This is everything I could’ve wanted and more. Definitely feels final. I can’t believe we will finally be able to play this game in less than two weeks. It’s been a hell of a wait, but it’s nearly here.
SamYungOfficial love your arrangement as well!
We're still proud of you Sammy, thank you ❤️

Any idea whose arrangement/recording this is?

Thank you so much for your renditions, Sam. It's been an incredible journey waiting for this final conclusion. The community this series has built has been one of the greatest parts of my life.
I remember launch night. I had already graduated from high school but I was in a dark place. But finally seeing KH3 boot up and listening to Utada Hikaru and then this song play made my year all the more better. I can genuinely say that this game made my life a bit better during my darkest days.
1:10 - 1:15 that sequence...it is all...all games togheter in 5 seconds.
I think you need to go back a few more seconds to elaborate on that
I... can't hear it😓 that specific part sounds more unique to this version to me
@@strangerdanger5954 starts with kingdom hearts goes to kh2 then hits the full on walts with kh dream drop distance. The brighter tones feel very final kind of like the emotional tones a little better. But its growing on me.
@@King_Of_Wolves I definitely got that. And there's also a very subtle similarity to Re:Coded's DB at 1:56, and one for BbS at 1:58. But I don't hear every version coming into 1:10 to 1:15 😓
You can hear KH Days DB flute a few seconds before that
So I literally just heard this for the first time due to not having a console to play the game and just being generally busy and put down with life to check out KH3 on RUclips despite it being released almost a year ago now.
Thank you Kingdom Hearts.
this touched me.
Your story has reached my heart,, I hope life goes well for you
I can relate to this 100%
@Bauti Pelo Largo Sombrero En italiano yup I sure am🤣
Rian Hart don't listen to that one buffoon. Your words are so true

I don't care what anyone says. This is my favorite rendition of Dearly Beloves of all time. It really felt like each entry was building up the song, making it more complicated, turning it into this masterpiece.

Yoko Shimomura didn’t have to do that. She didn’t have to go that hard on the intro. But she did that for us.
She didn't.....
she didn't have to go this hard either 1:26 - 1:54
Yoko Shimomura hit the nail right on the head with this one. Definitely the proper send off for a series that withstood the test of time.
Kh's made me excited for my journey
Kh2's made me sad in a way
Kh bbs, Re:COM, 358/2, DDD, 0.2, and X, made me anticipate
Kh3's makes me both sad and hopeful

I have never heard this music before, but it played on Classic FM, as I came home..
It is delightful, and very moving.

I love all the versions of Dearly Beloved but this one sounds like a gorgeous grand finale or something. Just wonderful and I can't wait for the game.
Tis a grand finale indeed.
Why are my eyes sweating so much?

Its like opera. The parts of your brain that control tears is affected.
Climate change is cutting onions
Yoko Shimomura is easily two of Square's most talented music composers ever
Her piano can make anything amazing within half a minute
My friend, you took the words out of my mouth...
It feels like to pick up my key blade I forged trough all this trials just for this last journey.
I want to witness the end of the story. To witness the end of an era. And my childhood
I’m about to be 24 as well, man this game has been with me since i was a little kid and it made me have emotions of wanting adventure
Has it been 17 years I feel So old lol

Ah! I can't! I'm tearing up, this sounds so *FINAL* . The end of Kingdom Hearts. Finally, I can be free from those loose ends from the previous titles (hopefully).
Blue Sky HAHAHAHAHA you thought you were safe. Nope. This is just the beginning. KH3 is definitely opening up a new can of worms in the end.
This isn't the final game. Kingdom Hearts III is the end of the Dark Seeker Saga. I'm pretty sure after the game comes out, Square and Disney will discuss development on the next storyline arc for the franchise
@@protoman176 Please, no more...!! I can't take waiting another 10 years for a proper conclusion to MORE convoluted plot, especially those cliffhangers. I'm lucky enough to be able to stay alive for KH3. I'm scurred, what if they cancel the thing midway, my heart will be devastated...!!
@@emeraldglowodraws Dude. It's the end of the saga. Not the games. So you are still basically seeing the "end of kingdom hearts" the important plot lines of the last games for KH3 and before will have nothing to do with the later games
@@emeraldglowodraws sorry to tell u that but nomura mentioned that before this is just the end of dark seekers saga :D
Never played Kingdom Hearts, but this Soundtrack is amazing. Yoko Shimomura is a great talent.

It feels so final, and I don’t think I can say goodbye to a series that’s been with me for over a decade ... thank you Tetsuya Nomura, for making such a crazy, goofy, convoluted masterpiece.
Yeah, KH3 was the best. Its story, gameplay and characters development were the best. It was simply a masterpiece!

To this day, this remains as my favorite Dearly Beloved. I don't usually cry when playing games, but this just tugs at the heart strings. It's just so beautiful.
Wow. I'm not excited for KH 3, I've never played a kingdom hearts game in my life, but this. This made me surprisingly emotional.
You're missing out on something absolutely incredible
For life long fans... multiply that emotion by 10 :')
I've only played one and i feel that way
Just imagine the song opening the game that people have been waiting over a decade for. Its bittersweet.
I'll see you all on launch day!
its so. its so beautiful. im gonna cry.
Genuinely got chills from this when I first started up KH3.
This feels like a hug from someone you never thought you'd see again. It's good to see you again, old friend. It's been too long. ❤️

Very beautiful, I was listening to the old version from Dearly Beloved when I was depressed at high school around 2006
Im glad you were able to overcome your depression this song is so beautiful and has so much emotions
It hurts me to say this.
Kh3>Kh2
Even with nostalgia pulling at my heart, this version of Dearly Beloved is miles ahead of KH2.
Can't wait for this 13 year journey to end soon.
Edit: Comment was made before kh3 released, and specifically talked about Dearly Beloved......
It hurts me to say an unreleased game > a decade old game.
Truly the pinnacle of gaming opinions.
@@Dunkingsonn I knew someone would bite in without understanding the context of the statement 😂😂 never did I bring up gameplay or story for KH. I only brought up Dearly Beloved. Gameplay and story is easily gonna be talked about when the game comes out. But even nostalgia from KH2 (the best game in MY OPINION) can't make me say that it's version of Dearly Beloved is better than this.
@MisAnthro Pony I'm talking about the wait between 2 and 3, not the series as a whole lol.
@@joshuaoconner7874 nah you're missing another key difference is the time the two were made. It's been a long long time between music has changed and come along way also with the music is implemented into games has also changed vastly so blindly stating this stuff may be all cool and edgy you can save yourself all of this by you know just enjoying the music for what it is. And quit comparing old to new. Every single time something of an updated version comes out
@@SkeletonNinja If people combat Kingdom Hearts II's Dearly Beloved with Kingdom Hearts III's then you know Kingdom Hearts II's still holds a candle to that of Kingdom Hearts III (Which is now my current favorite in the series).
Me, after listening to KH3’s Dearly Beloved: *_is on the floor crying_*
And this was actually true.
My life gets so much better in just a couple more weeks.
This soundtrack is Dearly Beloved by the whole Kingdom Hearts fandom.
😏
KH 4 Here we GOOOOO!!!
having dearly beloved go from plaintive pondering to the music equivalent of a warm hug is such an effective way to say “welcome home” to millions of people who have been waiting for this game
By far and away my favorite version of this song, which is saying something because the nostalgia of the title screen songs kh1&2 were so memorable and fond
The comments about those who have dearly departed since the original and the second installment has me in tears.
This one is prefect for kh3 since its like a colab of the different sounds you hear from all the games. Just like kh3 is one big colab of all the games.
My fav is still birth by sleep, but I will still love this one as well.

Dearly Beloved we are gathered here today to celebrate and close the chapter to a saga of one of the most beautiful series the world has ever known
I honestly sat listening to this 4 times on the menu before I pressed new game. It felt so welcoming and made me so glad to live in an age where both music, visuals and narrative can all come together to make such a beautiful tale. R.I.P to all the fans who never made it to see this game made.
It's truly spectacular...it's so complex and charming...
There was a time I thought I'd never see Kingdom Hearts III, Now I just cant believe it's already been 5 years since release.
Aw that's so wholesome! I hope your dream comes true! 😊
May your heart be your guiding key♥️
Put this song in smash
When I first heard this I started crying. It’s my new favorite version of deadly beloved.
I find that beautiful and hope that many more players will get to that point too
Easily one of the best pieces of music in gaming history. Undeniable
This theme can make a perfect wedding ceremony
Hi, buddy. Yeah. You. You that is reading this comment. Im just passing by to say that it has been a tough year, all this mess, but, you are amazing, and you matter, somehow. You are important. Dont let anyone say otherwise. Dont give up your objectives. The journey is tough, but i know you can make it. Im counting on you, ok? KH4 IS OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED LETS GOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Im honestly in complete shock. Ive never played a single Kingdom Hearts game growing up. I still havent.
'wow... I actually made it to Kh3?'
I was doubting myself for a few minutes, if I was ready to play it, then around that time 0:35 hit and I was like.
what are you saying? Just do it, it's worked before, hasn't it?
and to this day Kh3 is still one of my favorite games that I own on ps4.
I wish I could re-experience everything in this series for the first time, again.
It’s like all the Dearly Beloveds combined. Wonderfully done!
i listened to this and a few seconds in i instantly began to cry.........none of us are surviving this game
I keep saying i cant wait for this fame to release but in reality AM I REALLY READY????
I just got Kingdom Hearts 3 for my birthday yesterday. I figured I was in for massive amounts of nostalgia, but I didn’t expect it to hit me like a train. I cried a bit when I heard this again.
So many memories❤️
Is it cool I bursted into tears at 1:01? Cause that's what happened.
Yep. I did the same
I was in tears from start to finish
Cried here: 0:00 and 1:27
Im kinda sad that i didnt grow up with the series (cause i wasnt born when the first game came out) but im glad that im playing this game now.
