Look, did I watch this in my car as soon as I got off work because I couldn't wait until I drove home... MAYBE SO. What great timing since I bought tix last week for the livestream of their upcoming concerts. I'm so happy how much you guys love this!!! The ending shot of them in the car is also a callback to their debut Come Back Again where it has basically the same scene a couple times in the mv itself. Honestly them being back actively promoting as a full group after like technically 6 years, the song they released in early 2019 didn't have the leader, and CEO of Infinite Company, Sunggyu (Fireworks Guy!) since he had enlisted by then, triggered my sleeper agent Inspirit 😅 Can't wait for you guys to get more into them and learn about them since all of them are so great and fun. You've also probably heard at least parts of few of their songs just from being in the kpop sphere. The blue haired one that Beth liked the energy of is my bias, Dongwoo, he is just absolutely sunshine and his laugh is the best also a true all arounder that is so underrated in the industry. My man can sing, rap, dance, and just seems like the most positive sweet person (and also very gullible 😂)
To me personally they are the funniest group as well, their humor really really vibes with mine and they have a ton of variety shows especially from earlier in their career with all 7 members (Hoya left amicably in 2017): This is Infinite (affectionally known as Diss is Infinite bc the show is just them absolutely not letting each other breath the entire time), Sesame Player, Ranking King, and Infinite Showtime. They were also the first group to guest on Weekly Idol (all their appearance on WI are top notch) Woohyun, the guy with the mullet-like hair that had red in it in the MV, that you guys said gave you a bit of Gikwang energy popularized finger hearts in 2010/2011. They are specifically known for bringing sync'd dancing to become a staple of kpop (along with Shinee and Teentop) and are especially known for their live performances. Any concert vids from them are amazing!
Can't wait for stuff in the pipeline for them and I'm definitely gonna rec a compilation of them on Weekly Idol being unhinged along with my Killing Voice. Thanks again for checking them out! My secret plan to get more new kpop fans into 2nd gen groups is going amazingly well since now you've hit on all my top fav 2nd gen boy groups!

Infinite is known for being one of the first groups to focus on making their choreography hyper synchronized and they have been coined with the phrase "knife-like synchronization." Infinite -- along with SHINee -- is one of the groups that is credited with changing the focus of dancing within the Kpop industry. If it wasn't for SHINee and Infinite, upping the game and showing everyone that it was possible to have sharp synchronized dance moves while singing live and being able to pull it off flawlessly, the industry would probably be a lot different today.
Not only is Infinite known for their dancing, but they are also a vocal powerhouse group that, like SHINee, sings live while dancing these intense choreos.
Fun fact: Woohyun who is a member of Infinite is good friends with SHINee's Key and together they formed the industry's very first project group that had members from different companies, called ToHeart in 2014. (ToHeart has a couple of MVs and a mini album.)
Infinite is also known for their unique sound and style and how most of their songs include rock and/or brass and classical string instruments as part of their signature orchestral sound. It's said that you can tell it's an Infinite song just by the sound and style of the song within the first few seconds because Infinite songs are different than all other Kpop songs. There is always an element of the sound of their songs that makes them stand out.
However, "New Emotions" has a sound unlike anything they have done in the past. Although the members said they were nervous to try something new, that is unlike what they are most known for, I think it also helps to establish their fresh start as newly independent artists who are free to decide their own path from here on out. Although with their B-side songs you will hear more of their signature style and sound, so they still stay true to what makes them uniquely Infinite.
Infinite originally was a Woollim Entertainment group that debuted in 2010 -- 2 years after SHINee -- so this year is their 13th anniversary. They were originally a 7-member group. However, as you have seen, they now have 6 members. (Hoya, who was their main dancer and considered one of the top dancers in Kpop, as well as a lead vocalist and rapper, left Infinite in 2017, and now he's a solo artist/dancer, etc.)
As you just saw, Infinite has finally made a comeback after 5 years, after all the members have completed their military duties and they have now established their own company. "New Emotions" is their first comeback after becoming independent.
Sungkyu who is a main vocalist, is the leader of the group. He was the first of the members to debut solo back in 2012 and he is also a musical stage actor.
Infinite's main rapper, main dancer and lead vocalist, is DongWoo. He is also a musical stage actor and a songwriter and solo artist.
L (Kim Myungsoo) is a lead vocalist. In the past he was most often the main character in Infinite's story-based MVs because he is one of the top Idol actors who has been in numerous K-dramas and movies. L is really good at showing emotion and immersing himself into every role he plays to make you believe his every emotion is exactly how he really feels and everything that happens to him is real. He is one of my favorite K-drama actors.

Nam Woohyun is a main vocalist and the one that usually has the powerful vocals in Infinite's songs. He is also a solo artist and an actor in K-dramas, movies and musicals.
Sungyeol is a lead vocalist. He has also been an actor in dramas since before debuting with Infinite.
The member who often stands out with his pretty voice is SungJong, who is the maknae. He is known for his delicate features and his unique voice. (He is recognized for his high melodic vocal ability and dynamic range, similar to Jun from Seventeen.) He just debuted as a solo artist earlier this year, as well.
    Infinite fans are called Inspirits.

As yeah! Infinite is one of my favorites! To help with faces…when you adjusted the screenshot after the dance practice from left to right: Dongwoo, Sungjong, L (Myungsoo), Sungyeol, Sunggyu, and Woohyun! Both Sunggyu and Infinite have killing voices that I would highly recommend! Infinite’s also will show you their personality 😂 Shinee, Beast/Highlight, and Infinite were always together in 2nd gen! Also, even though Infinite weren’t together as a group for 5 years all of them weee busy acting in dramas or theater, solo stuff or variety! So they have been busy!

Infinite...these guys...they got me into KPOP. They are known for their synchronization dancing. I was impressed. Woohyun....cutie that he was back then......was my bias. He's the one with the longer hair in the center singing falsetto. Falsetto voices always kill me. I couldn't get enough of Infinite back then. Todays MV is very different from their original sounds. So is their dancing...a lot more sexy...I guess fitting for how old they are today....some in their early 30's. We didn't see them for awhile...they lost a member and eventually went on hiatus for military and I didn't know what was gonna happen to them. They had problems with their original agency so I had no idea if they would perform again. Glad they were able to put together a new company.
It was in the midst of all that chaos that I discovered Junho of 2pm. When I was following Infinite...I'd heard of 2pm but I didn't want to follow another group because I tend to go off the deep end and it would have been to much to get "hooked". So I avoided 2pm. But during the chaos of Infinite's hiatus...I discovered Junho and he was the deal breaker....the bias breaker and it's been him ever since...him and 2pm. I wish 2pm would follow what Infinite is doing right now...producing albums in Korea...not Japan...but it is what it is. I get nostalgic now when I listen to Infinite. It's not just their music that I remember but also their variety shows where they were just crazy dudes. They were and still are a lot of fun. I did see a recent video of them talking about practicing for New Emotions. They were as funny and chaotic just like in the past. Their fandom is called "Inspirits". They do have a lot of Korean comback MVs from pre military days so there's quite a bit of content to check out.
And just to get my "plug in" for Junho...he recently released a new Japanese MV "Can I". Great MV. I'll post in community board.

@@jade-ej4bc I'll always be a fan. I was crazy about their music and I don't know how many times I watched and rewatched and rewatched their MVs and live performances and their variety shows. I recently saw their new "variety" show and went back and watched all their old MVs. Got real nostalgic for Infinte. The Chaser is probably my favorite Infinite song. I prefer watching the dance version MV. I think Infinite set the standard for synchronized dancing.
But during Infinites hiatus I lost touch with them because I thought they would never perform again. That's when I started watching Junho and 2pm and I'm currently hooked on these guys right now.

@ddreileyz I became a fan only on early 2016,,and the following year,,Hoya left,,i felt heartbroken because i like them all..And I've been following them even ifcHiya left..i hoped that the six members will continue as a group and they did,,But when L left Wollim,i became anxious, worried that He will also leave the group,But they ask inspirits to trust them and wait...And finally, the wait is over.

    • @ddreileyz
      @ddreileyz Год назад +1

@@jade-ej4bc I became a fan in 2014. I saw L in a drama the singer Rain was in and then I started hearing about one of L's members (Woohyun) looking like Hyun Bin (LOL). I was a big fan of Hyun Bin so I wanted to know who this idol was. Woohyun does not look like Hyun Bin but I watched his one and only drama that he was in and decided to check out their music and that's when I started learning about KPOP....through a drama. I think the first MV I saw was BTD and I was stunned at their dancing. I had no idea this kind of music was being created and performed. I was hooked. Hoya made me angry when he left. I started to believe at that point that they were going to disband when he left....especially since they were getting close to performing their military duty. And then I'd hear all the bad news about Woolim and how they treated Woohyun....and all that bad news just made me believe they weren't coming back.

A lot of the fans loved Time Difference from the b-sides. It's actually more to their original, known sound (i.e. old school, strings, synth, percussion...er, 80s basically).
But yeah, no, you need to listen to their whole discography, lmao (to kind of get what I mean by the above and also cause it's worth it :P ).
I would say start with their full albums: Paradise and Season 2.
