This movie was punching above its weight class. Loved the reimagining of arthur as a streetwise, quickwitted lad, born out of nothing. His mates, his squad running the streets of London. What got me the most was Hunnam carried the character with such grace, no love interest, just "heres the story, have fun, theres a chinese George."
I actually really enjoyed King Arthur, and a big part of that was Daniel's pounding, energetic score. It really drives the pace of the film, it's great.
@@justaman9724 it was too expensive for its taste I mean 175M on a movie about a character that hasn't even made 350M globally in the past add that to the fact that it came out on guardians of the galaxy vol2 2nd weekend like you just asking for a flop at that point

Well, I know about a TV show which isn't medieval but it's probably similar to what you're looking for. Have you ever heard about Peaky Blinders? The main character is a WW1 Veteran which runs a race manipulation gang. And he's British.

This movie is way underrated, I watched it four times in two days. The music was on point for every scene, the action and graphics were good, the acting was great and the story was enjoyable and easy to follow. I give it a solid 8.5
This soundtrack is brilliant, it's like a match made in heaven with Guy Ritchie's directing style, this synergy is one of the reasons i did enjoy the movie despite it's flaws, and no one can claim it's perfect in any way, but it has a lot of cool moments, fantastical visual elements (like the gigantic elephants and the demon knight) and overall fun character interactions, mostly because of how Guy likes to present his characters.

That montage where Arthur grows + this original piece of music, was the perfect reflection of Guy's vision and talent = reality combined with fantasy. This whole soundtrack is amazing.

Vocalist walks in, steps into recording booth and begins to breathe like hes having a fucking panic attack and occasionally starts screaming The recording crew rush in, fully unaware of his choice of vocals, and ask if he is alright "Don't worry lads, its music" It worked lol love it
I love this movie and the soundtrack. My favorite movie by far. Have watched it more than 20 times. It's such a great story - the best version of a King Arthur movie I've seen! @@nolevique I've just rewatched it, and it's really not that great. What's crazy is that Guy Ritchie originally planned to springboard an entire Cinematic Universe with this movie... This was meant to be the first in a line of Excalibur Universe films, starting with this one focusing on Arthur, then eventually a film dedicated to Gwendolyn, Merlin, Lancelot... etc... with all of them culminating together ala "The Avengers" in a big mashup film... Sadly since this movie bombed and critics hated it, we'll likely never see that Cinematic Universe transpire... :(
