Here’s a thought: if you constantly tell someone that they are a monster until they start to believe it, then they will accept anything monstrous that they do as proof that they are who you said they are and justify continuing to do monstrous things as ‘just being themselves’ as they sink deeper and deeper into rage, hopelessness, and bitter despair.
Instead, what if you constantly told them that they were on their way to becoming a hero? What would they do and feel if they did something heroic? …or unheroic? What if you convinced them to never overestimate who they were, yet also never underestimate who they could be, for good or ill? What do you think might happen then? Who might they be able to become when your words keep directing their eyes to the noblest of goals while warning them of the darkness waiting to pull them in if they stray from the path?
…and what if the person you are talking to is yourself?

@@JessicaGem I've had to dig deep to figure out how I became who I am and what I can do to change things for the better.
Part of that journey was realizing just how powerful self-talk can be, _especially_ negative self-talk. (i.e. "Never overestimate who you are, nor underestimate who you could become[, for good or ill]." -- Jordan Peterson)

I wish I could watch some of your art compilations, but the few I clicked on have flashing lights warnings and as an epileptic, I can't take the risk. I'm insanely curious about this character.
Ah, sorry about that! since I do so many layer styles and zooming on different parts it can get a bit risky... I'm hoping to update my website to be a better hub for that sort of information before long, especially to clarify some story threads in my Celestia videos like this one ^^;
