I am that baby sister , that is my big sister . This is her story, my story , it happens so much. I'm so thankful for this platform, and others like it. Sharing the pain is rehashing old wombs , it still hurts. No matter how old , it hurts.

I absolutely relate to Gina Lyles childhood experiences and stories. I am located in Richmond, Virginia too and I as well grew up in an verbally, emotionally and also physically abusive household. I used to feel ashamed of every tragic thing that happened to me at home,at school, outside of my home and school, online, etc. I had a troubled past as well as many personal traumatic events i wont go in detail about. Im majoring in Criminal Justice and i'm choosing to do exactly what you chose to do Gina and that's using your troubled childhood past and experiences and tragedy and your using it to your advantage by working and speaking within the juvenile system. I desire to work with troubled/at-risk juveniles and eventually becoming a juvenile probation officer or counselor. THANK YOU for telling your story.
