If the fan vents for your computer are on the bottom you need to have a hard surface under it. My laptop does the same thing so I always put a thin flat book under it when I'm on my bed. Or you can invest in a small lap desk.

I'm in late 40's sort of living vicariously through you! Many moons ago, I completed 80 hours of college credits but didn't apply it towards any degree. I had to work full-time and never had the opportunity just to focus on school so I just quit going. Which is something I would not recommend keep up the great work you're doing fantastic have a blessed day!
I felt that when you said Chick-fil-A is the lords food! Since I moved home after my college closed, the closest Chick-fil-A is 40 minutes away and I go as often as I can!! Back at school I had two within 5 minutes. I miss it so much 😭

Not sure if it is the same problem, but my MacBook Pro fan will start to run and it sounds like it's getting ready for take off. The bottom will be pretty warm, too. I was told to do a hard reset, which is when you hold down Command + Control + Power button until the screen goes blank. Wait a few seconds, and then power it back on. Hope that helps!

Lauren for your mac if you put it on a flat surface like a desk it will be able to vent out the air from the bottom of your mac easier

Never put a any laptop 💻 on a bed! Also use the app Mac fans control. It’s great for the MacBooks
