Hey Nick, I have a fresh ad account that has been running for about 2.5 weeks. I currently have Adv + Audience and have been getting 1-1.5 sales per say (on average). Should I change it to original audience like you covered in this video or should I leave it until I build more data for the pixel?
I also was wondering if you believe 1 product per campaign is ideal or if I should group products into 1 bigger campaign with multiple adsets (if they are the same type of product)?
Last quick question. Unfortunately as I only just started, a few of the ads that are showing good results are based around Black Friday, is the best way to continue just to turn these off and test new creatives?
Wont have much impact at that level of spend. Depends on nature of products and if similar or not. Can continue to run those ads until they die off

Hey Nick, I bought your book and read it cover to cover in a few days. Going through it again and writing notes - it's really great for people who have no marketting history and for someone who doesn't have experience with creating capturing hooks it's definitely helping. Still struggling a little to apply it to my product but getting there.
I have a question when adding new creatives - I was introducing new creatives (sometimes just a different hook with the same video) by setting up a new ad set within the same campaign but meta kept combining my ad sets or tried to combine it with a different campaign (I've split my campaigns out per country). I kept trying to make changes to the creative with no luck. I've resorted to using the 1 ad set and introducing creatives, however 99% of the ad spends gets sent to the one creative each day. Is this because my creatives just aren't as good as the one video or should I be doing something different?

Hey Nick, I've been using your method for testing different angles for my product. So far, I have a couple winning DCT's but I am curious whether you change your product page to reiterate the message in the winning DCT's angle?
For example, if I had a supplement brand and the winning angle was that it makes you stronger, would I change out some of the copy on my product page to highlight the 'makes you stronger' angle? Thank you boss!
I'll test product pages as well. If I have a solid winner, i'll update product page and see if it makes any impact or not

Hey Nick, one random question :) I out 4 different dct ads in one campaign. Only one DCT becomes 95% of spend because the cpc was very good. But the algorithm didn't even test the other dcts. The spend was by 3 or 4 cent for the other dcts, so it didn't even test them out, it got maybe 5-10 impressions overall which is very weird. Now the cpc of the winning ad keeps rising every day because of ad fatique. But the former winning dct is still getting 95% of spend despite the cpc is now way higher than all the other adsets. And still the algorithm doesnt test out the others and the spend is only a few cents. I don't get it. Do i have to force spend on all dcts to test them out? Why is the algorithm not testing the other dct and keeps sticking with the old adset despite it has now the highest cpc overall
Just give it 7 days and if not, turn the other ones off and move on

RN I'm testing 5 products a day ( 5 campaigns ) and am doing CBO 50 - 3 Creatives - 2 primary texts per campaign and that's it. I also have strict killing rules.

Our Meta rep says that we should use “add to cart” or “initiate checkout” instead of “purchases.” Our ads aren’t able to get 50 purchases during the learning mode because we sell big ticket. Due you still recommend using “purchase” goal if we aren’t able to get 50 purchases during the learning mode?

At what level (campaign, adset or ad) should similar, but different products should be tested. For example 1st product (Coffee grinder 30 USD price) 2 st product ( Coffee grinder + POT 50 USD Price) Should they be in the same campaign and adset but different AD, or it should be on different campaign? And other example if brands sells similar, but different product. The products are different - Coffee grinder vs TEA POT) Should coffee and tea pots be in different campaigns?
I would keep it in the same campaign, since it appears you're just testing different bundles
@@NickTheriot So if products are in the same category, but somehow different deals/specifications/value they should be in same adset, and let facebook decide (which is better roi) and if they should be sold in bundle, or separate products etc.? Im struggling with low cart value (and lower than expected roi) now im running separate campaigns for each variable (product)
Hey Nick, why is it necessary to exclude Purchases 180 days?
You may not want ad spend going towards customers who have already bought your product (so you exclude them from seeing your ad)

I noticed that the $100 you allocated seems to be approximately 3 times your target CPA. Given this would allocating $12/day to the campaign still allow the structure to work effectively for me?

However, as your said facebook takes time to optimize, especially for a new ad account. So, given your experience running multiple campaigns, how much money should I be prepared to burn before achieving my CPA target to get to breakeven levels?

- Works and it's worth giving a shot
- Doesn't work nor do I recommend it

I would focus on one campaign with the top 2-3 best selling products
Finding it very difficult to find a new DCT to outperform my winner that has gotten over $10k in spend. Do you ever find that FB will simply just prioritize a winner over new tests just because the winner has more engagement and sale history? Like of course an ad with 200+ purchases and thousands of likes looks better than a brand new fresh ad. New DCTs will get sales and better CPA but only take like 5% of spend. We've probably tested around 10 DCTs against it. Meanwhile the winners CPA has almost tripled but still hogs spend. Any recommendations?
If you watch the video, you will see one stayed top performer for almost 2 months before we found a new one.
@@NickTheriot I saw that, but it wasn't really a winner in terms of lots of sales and ROI. It just took majority of spend due to the campaign being new.. I am talking about competing against an absolutely killer ad that is starting to slow down and fatigue. The ad I have has over a 7 ROAS overall and generated over 6 figures on it's own. Finding it hard to get a new one to beat it.

I turn off ones that do not postively impact the business after 7 days

Hi Nick,
You’re setting up a manual CBO campaign with Advantage+ budget turned on, which is great for testing multiple ad sets. However, I’m losing control over ad set spending in this setup. Facebook keeps favoring one ad set, pushing the CPA into the $60s, whereas I typically see it in the $40s. No matter how many new ad sets I deploy and let run for two weeks, the budget continues to be funneled into the same favored ad set.
Did you not watch the video? I had one adset favored for almost 2 months with a terrible CPA. I tested new ads against it and they barely got any spend (that is because they sucked in meta's eyes) then 109 took off and got all spend almost day 1. it's not a meta problem, it's your ads suck.

Hi Nick, thanks for this. It's really great to learn from these case studies. In regards to setting initial budget, does a higher budget equal faster optimisation? Also you were only testing a few creatives per week, can we test more frequently, say every 2-3 days?
I would recommend new ads once per week, can test 2-4 adsets at once. It's not about more ads, it's about more research driven ads testing different product positionings in the market place.
Awesome Nick, I've been trying to add my card to new business portfolio.. at portfolio level so that I can use that with my clients ad accounts. It shows couldn't verify.. but I have successfully added the same card to my ad account, it verified my card successfully it's active on ad account but is not verifying on business portfolio level. Why it's not verifying at portfolio level?? I have enabled everything like eCommerce shopping, international transactions all that to my card. Can I add my card directly to my clients ad accounts so that I can run ads for them? Does it go against FB rules? Is it safe? Tried to contact Fb customer care but didn't get their number, email... What should I do??

Yes just don't expect to be profitable. I sell a $29 ebook and get $40 cpa. But i have upsells that make me a 6x roas on that $40 cpa

I just check my hypothesis on how i built the creatives against the adset that got most spend to know what worked

Are you able to use other brands names in your ads? Like talking about how your product is better than theirs? If not, How about just showing their product as a visual?
You can only state facts but cannot say opinions. Example “this product sucks vs. ours” you cannot say that. But you can say “this product has 150gb of memory and ours has 200gb of memory” both facts

We need a $30 cpa and yes lost money first month, that is why we focused on making it work for us with new winning ads
