KOM’ing downhills is risky for mere mortals, acknowledge the risk before you go down this road (literally). Finding uphill segments to KOM is fun, often people ignore climb sections that look unappealing or are just off the beaten path. And it’s way safer.
This is awesome and needs to be a new weekly feature. Like othere said, release the raw pov footage of the whole ride. It's also good to see you having fun Rich instead of torturing yourself on marathons. Congrats man.
Beats me how you can ride without gloves Rich, whenever I've ridden without mine like when I've forgotten them it feels horrible to me and even painful, I wear moto gloves that have some padding in the palms and it helps me heaps, but kudos to you man great effort!
I’m not one for racing and breaking records, but I love to watch other people improve and get faster. Most of the time it comes down to weather conditions and line choice, but it also comes down to how hard you can push yourself and if you dare do something stupid for that extra second of speed.
I'd estimate my time as 3.30... 3 days, 3 hours, 0 minutes 😂 Coming up 59 yo and been biking for 2 months after not having ridden for around 25 years. Loving the channel though and like watching you guys hooning it even if my efforts are rather more sedate. 👍
I kinda lost interest in comparing times on strava after the app/gps bugged out on my phone and I took the KOM by like 20s on a 2min lap, giving some absurd average speed. I excluded the activity from the segment efforts, but it made me realize that many of those insane times that I come across could be simply invalid.
If you used a Garmin or another sort of gps device with a speed sensor linked rather than just Strava slung in ya pocket/bag you wouldn't be having any problems..
Oh I see that strava shows if an external device was used. None the less I don't think it shows whether there was a dedicated speed sensor used. And the gps signal is suscept to noise/interference even for garmin.
Have you ever tried to get a KOM or QOM?
yeah the segment i made in my garden
Yes a couple of times

No KOM's but a couple Top 10s. I'll take em !
If you actually started to follow your follower's on Strava you wouldn't be needed to ask the question!..

Very solid and respectable performance Rich!
So many people are going to go and now try to smash your time, Rich! Good luck to them!!!
This could be an ace new feature/series! Love it x
Congratulations, Rich!
Lots of love, cheers, & Mabuhay, from my end--the Philippines! #RideOn #KeepBiking
I reckon the stig rode the last lap lol 😆
Awesome video. Missed these kind of videos.
Awesome
Get Martin Ashe on with a chance to reclaim the title
along comes neil......... nice work, rich.
There could be a video in that 🤘
Okay, where's Blake?
Hopefully working on his own channel. He would kill it...
Blake was eating cake!
Blake is there, somewhere. But where is Isaac? Nobody responded to my question yet.
@@komoonkh Isaac sadly left in January.
Blake isn't an XC rider as such so I believe the best rider out've the crew has just proved it..

I reckon after this Neil needs to have a bash on a DH bike or something like a Clash.

It would be great to watch raw POV footage.
Yeah, I couldn't even complete that route, much less think about my segment time. Nice work.
Wow! Well done Rich.
(Of course now that the gauntlet's been so publicly thrown, I suspect you'll get pipped within a month or two.)
5'21 on that segment for me.
Im content with that.
Ooh dont forget to yell out
!!STRAVA!! when overtaking others
I reckon I could smash 3 minutes... rolling down the hillside after crashing off the first obstacle 😂😂😂.
Not a chance could I get near that time. Prob more like double it for me , just getting down in one piece is a win to me 🎉
Would rather see the reverse uphill version, that would be much more fun!
It wouldn't be as fun for Rich 😂
Sorry Rich, they can't be crux points in those shoes, they have to be Crocs points. 😜👍 Well done on the KOM too.

Well but that’s not the point. Even if I do, how can I make sure that the rider I am competing with did?

Great video, keep it up!
Thanks!
nice job
Might be quicker on a really good trail bike. Anyway, we'll done Rich!
The KOM could/should state number of runs next to it .
There are a ton of Strava segment hunters around where we live also.
Do you have any KOMs? 👑
@@gmbnI do I have actually lost count of how many I have in Northampton town
Get Don to beat this KOM!
You do realize you just put a target on your head 😀! The question is how long before someone beats it and will it be the previous record holder??
We will keep an eye on it 👑
When I cared for strava ppl reported me for using an ebice. Plot twist I wasn't using a ebice but a side by side 😈🤣
I could have done it in under 2 pokey, hee hee.
Is this a Smith Rhytm mask model?
when is the old pueblo video coming out
It's now on the channel! 👉 ruclips.net/video/5lrlFF9tc3c/видео.html
Some ebiker will come and beat you.
eMTB does not compete on segments (unless a guy marks the ride as normal MTB)
interessiert niemanden...........
