its the fact that the pediatrician had to make mom seem like a fool when she couldn't even get it out herself and made her child feel worse. glad he has a mom that will find solutions and make sure her baby is doing good.
theres been research for decades regarding how black and african american women and children receive some of the worst healthcare in the US. not surprised at all.
That's what happens when you don't watch or teach your kids. I'm so tired of the bs narrative about this kind of behavior being normal. I was a nanny, foster parent, and a parent to my own kids and stepkids. Not a single one ever attempted to swallow random objects or shove them up their nose or in their ears......and I had foster kids who would literally bash their own heads against the walls because it's what they were used to.....or worse.

So glad you used your voice . So many people don't rather it's them kids or another loved one. Also even more happy your child's okay now . Thanks to a good momma .
My son gets the same thing. For him we do a hot shower steam for 30min. I just put a 1 1/2 cups of Sea salt and fill the tub with hot water. And sit in the bathroom with the door closed. I sometimes use mint And Eucalyptus oil if it's real stubborn. His nose runs it all out. I go through the same thing with the doctors and I have medical training. The arrogance is what gets me.
For anyone who has never did this (use the pot this with water to flush it out) it doesn’t hurt, it’s very uncomfortable, that’s why the poor baby is crying, or that’s what I think. But, it does make you feel so much better!
Awww the nurse couldn’t get it out 😂 just like she mocked his mother. Poor mom she tried so hard. I support you mom you did a good job trying and you still didn’t give up
When my daughter was very young she managed to get a piece of my wife's make-up sponge in her nose. My wife noticed a smell and her nose running constantly, takes her to a doctor who said it was a cold she'd get over it. Took her to an ENT who probed it then removed it. It was surprisingly large for such a small kid.
It's amazing what babies can put in their ears and nose. They do this until they're about 7 yrs old. Babies are constantly learning and experiencing their world
My niece did the and it stunk the high heaven when that ENT pulled it out! I will never forget that putrid smell. Can't imagine what my niece has to smell and go though her little self!!!!!
A peanut?!? That's crazy, but I'm glad y'all figured it out!! That doctor could've been nicer... 😒 My son had a tic-tac up his nose one time and had bright orange snot, which freaked me out!! 😅 Until I figured it out, lol!!
This happened to my son when he was 3. I kept smelling this awful smell. After washing him, I notice his nose was swollen. The smell was his infected nose. Took him to the emergency room where they looked with tools and was able to pull out a piece of Nerf ball. These boys are something else.😂
And just a few days ago his sister put a jelly bean in her nose but I was able to get her to blow it out. They are 17yrs apart. My kids apparently love their nose.
Omg my little boy did the same exact thing. He literally would smell like bounce that ass after a bath. One night I looked in his nose. That foam when I pulled it out doubled in size. I was blown away. Poor baby. My little boy looked at me at two after I did that and said well there’s that. Tank u mommy
My son stuck a rubber band up his nose when he was little. I came home from work and his Dad was trying to get what he thought was a booger out of his nose. I looked and it appeared shiny. We immediately took him to the ER and low and behold .....it was a rubber band. Smh. He's 27 now. We laugh about it.
Years ago when my son was a toddler, I kept smelling what i thought was a boo boo diaper coming from him. Turns out my son had a piece of bathtub sponge he had stuck up his nose. Was all but rotted in there and smelling. His dad had to suck it out. We all were relieved 😊
My son had a watch ⌚️ battery stuck in his nose. His face started changing and he had rash on the face and dark brown snorts ....the battery had started to rust and he couldn't breath properly a pharmacist gave us a sterile spray after 3 sprays he sneezed and it came out and stucked on the opening of the nostril
That fact the the damn doctor made him bleed and still didn’t get it out but a flipping Walmart kit to toilet flusher got it out with not a blink of and eye
My son stuffed corn, from the mixed vegetables we had at supper, up his nose. After 15 min of trying to figure out how to get it out of his nose, i pressed the nostril closed that didnt have the corn and when he tried to breath out his nose because he was crying, the corn came out. Kid didnt learn though, he literally grabbed the peas and was going to stuff it up his nose next.
Doctors these days are so incompetent, it’s astonishing how they even became doctors!!! Good for you for speaking up!!! Your a great mother for still trying everything you possibly could!!!🎉🎉
The main problem is many of them don't have the same passion that doctors used to have. Now many are just after a paycheck and don't have the same level of care for their patients.
I read all of the comments and for those of you saying that she is just trying to shame the doctor, I disagree. How is the doctor going to look into a child's nose and not notice that it is a foreign object in that child's nose. Then when they attempt to remove the "booger' and can't they just let the child go home untreated. This mother noticed a problem with her child. She watched the situation, attempted to treat the situation, sought treatment and didn't give up until the problem was resolved. This mother did absolutely what she should have done for her child.
Imagine a whole pediatrician,someone who went to a college for that kinda stuff couldn’t get it out but a Walmart item could💀💀✋ Edit: I don’t wanna be that guy/girl but… *M O M M A I ‘ M F A M O U S* 😍😛
Wild! I took my 3 year old to the ER for a small round Lego piece he got stuck in his nose. They tried everything and told us to call for an appointment with ENT tomorrow. No, sir! I’m a former ER nurse. I asked for alligator forceps and removed it myself the first attempt. They still billed me too! Ha!
I don't understand all of this negativity towards the mother. She said it was affecting his breathing, and she's obviously doing a good job watching him if she notices these things. Good for her, sticking up for her son because she knew that something wasn't right no matter how over-the-top doctors thought she was being. You seem like a good mother who did the right thing, especially with a child so young who can't communicate most of what they feel, what they did, etc.
but how would he breath, new ones might build up in the inside and he wouldn't be able to breath so it was a good idea If you watched part 2 you would see that it wasn't a booger..... (don't want to spoil for others)
Here’s for part two So after they squeezed the water through his nose, they looked in the bowl and thought it was a regular booger/snot but it wasn’t when they took a second look when they took the second look, it was actually a peanut so the mom got so stressed and started doing anybody’s nose and thank them for being so brave she gave them cookies
Same thing happened to my brother when he was young.. he was joking around and sniffed up a raisin.... chit happens to ALL parents. Good job for trusting your mama instincts ❤
Aww poor sweet baby, i have tried nasal cleanning with a syringe before. Sure it's relieving but hella uncomfortable. Hope he got some gift/sweets after his braveŕy❤😊
That’s wild, honestly I would have called his pediatrician just to let her know and make sure she felt like the idiot for making you feel like one! Wild, glad you got it out. Kids are wild 😅
I hope she got him another pediatric if that's his primary. Pay attention.🧐 If your doctor don't treat you like family get rid of them, they don't care bout you. 💯
Honey listen, I had to fight for my son when his migraines started. I had 1 older son but had never seen a child experience headaches of any kind. And I had 9 siblings myself and none of us went through any thing like this. I knew something was going on with my 6 year old. The doctors at our insurance covered clinic did not take it seriously when we took him there. He was eventually diagnosed at Nationwide Children's Hospital after many different tests. But we would not have been taken seriously if I hadn't insisted on them doing so. Mothers know their children.
May I ask what his migraines were because my second oldest daughter seems to have the same thing going on her foster mother had asked me a couple of months ago was I having severe migraines when I was her age
@PatriciaFerguson-vk4pd we were never able to find a cause. With him, he'd got to bed like any other night. And wake up in the morning with the pain and vomiting like crazy, until dry heaves was all he had left. They lessened through middle school but didn't stop until he became an adult. Hope you find help for your child.
This reminds me of the nightmarerish episodes my sis son was going through. Boy would be put different stuffs into his nostrils everyday, from meat, corn and peanut 😢. Neti pot isn't commonly used here 🇳🇬 so we had to use crochet pin or make him forceful blow his nose 😢. Those days made me scared of when I'll finally have my children 😢. Thank God your boy is fine ❤

I'm so sorry for what the pediatrician did. But I hope your boy is fine now.
It was a singular piece of corn 😮
This happened to my son when he was 3. I kept smelling this awful smell. After washing him, I notice his nose was swollen. The smell was his infected nose. Took him to the emergency room where they looked with tools and was able to pull out a piece of Nerf ball. These boys are something else.😂
What did the boy have in his noise
A piece of Nerf football. Like the spongey balls by Nerf well back in the day. This was in 2006.

Now many are just after a paycheck and don't have the same level of care for their patients.
for those who are wondering, the red stuff is blood and the object was a moldy peanut.
Ew

WHAT BROOO 🤢🤮

I read all of the comments and for those of you saying that she is just trying to shame the doctor, I disagree. How is the doctor going to look into a child's nose and not notice that it is a foreign object in that child's nose. Then when they attempt to remove the "booger' and can't they just let the child go home untreated.
This mother noticed a problem with her child. She watched the situation, attempted to treat the situation, sought treatment and didn't give up until the problem was resolved.
This mother did absolutely what she should have done for her child.
Thank you very much! ❤️

Thank you very much 🥰❤️
but how would he breath, new ones might build up in the inside and he wouldn't be able to breath so it was a good idea If you watched part 2 you would see that it wasn't a booger..... (don't want to spoil for others)

Yo
You go girl
@PatriciaFerguson-vk4pd we were never able to find a cause. With him, he'd got to bed like any other night. And wake up in the morning with the pain and vomiting like crazy, until dry heaves was all he had left. They lessened through middle school but didn't stop until he became an adult. Hope you find help for your child.
