Hey I have a few tips for more specifically Maltese puppy's but it could 100% work for any other pup! She mentioned in the video that he peed on the pee pad the first 3 times and then no longer used it and started peeing on the floor. My maltese puppy did the exact same. We put it down as him being a picky pup but he wouldn't use it if too much of his scent was on it. So we went through lots and lots of pee pads the first few weeks but obviously it was fine when we potty trained him to go outside. I know the stigma is very high of Maltese being "Impossible" to house break but myself and lots of other people find that to be false and/or just very rare. My pup learned to pee outside fully at around 13 weeks. You have to just have a lot of patience and time. Another thing she mentioned was that he was acting almost afraid of his bowl and won't eat from it. My pup was the exact same! He wouldn't drink or eat from a stainless steel bowl. And still won't I think it has something to do with the fact that it is reflective but my Olly just won't tolerate it! We have a big stainless steel bowl out in the back garden from our previous big dog and he rather try to dig the water out the bowl but will not drink it he even barks at it sometimes. So thats my experience with the two problems that she mentioned. Hope I helped people who were struggling with any of these problems.

The dog is living with my sister and my brother in-law. He is such a cute sweetie for a little dog. He also lives with a couple cats,too. I do missed playing with him.
Watch out for symptoms of a liver shunt. My Maltese puppy died from it 2 weeks ago😥 She was only 6 months old. Apparently, it's a disease inherited from the parents and you CANNOT notice it when they're young (~9 weeks). Maltese dogs are among the dog breeds that have a high risk of being born with it. Many of the symptoms can be mistaken for normal dog behaviour , f.e. digging on the sofa or bed. Watch out for "normal"/"lethargic" day- cycles! My puppy often had stomach/digestive issues and I blamed myself for making her portions too big and tried to just be more careful. I never thought there could be a lethal disease behind it. She died in my arms when my uncle was talking to the vet in the phone (it was late evening). 😭
Bruh I just got my maltese puppy today ;3 We just recently lost our Maltese named Duncan 4 or 5 months ago. He was my first pet and the best dog ever. The entire neighborhood knew him well. They've all told us this new puppy has some big shoes to fill. I swear he was just like a person. He had such a big personality. I miss him dearly. This new puppy is named Bentley. He's so sweet and social and the people we got him from were so kind.

Exactly what the other comment said! He rarely barks, only when he’s trying to get my attention lol and it’s been one week and he knows sit, down and spin so he’s going pretty strong😂 potty training has only been a little hard because he chews on his puppy pads
You are blessed for having a family supporting your want to have a (maltese) puppy. Mine, I had to sell her after a week even though I love her so much. My husband did not talk to me after getting her because he is so much against having a dog in the house. It really hurt me and made me cry.

My Maltese is nine years We got him at 14 weeks he is my baby he does have some separation anxiety he is very clingy he’s still like a toddler even after nine years he has his own little but he is extremely dominant for being his size we got him neutered so he’s all good but he is my love
