Part II Keep away from the trigger until you're ready to shoot. On the reload, after expending the shot casing, suggest you slightly curl the first or second knuckle of your trigger finger/index finger over the checkered knob where you catch the bolt keeping your other three fingers clear of the trigger and trigger housing altogether, pushing with your trigger finger forward then down and thumb riding along the rise of the grip (to end of bolt)
Part III or thumb assisting by pinching the bolt knob along with the trigger finger. This is much safer. I might add too, if you have to grip the trigger housing and pull the bolt down to close it, you may not realize your round is oversized and you're muscling to close the bolt..this could be a bad indication of a poorly done reload or bad round...if that's the case this could be extremely dangerous, injure the shooter and damage the rifle.
Part IV (final) Loading/Reloading your firearm and the ammo, fresh out of the box or handload/reload, should work rather smoothly together...you shouldn't have to force it to work.
Have to split this comment due to length of discussion Caught this video on a Gunbroker Newsletter email...I have to say, at 1:45, this is terrible advise to wrap your fingers around the trigger guard on the down-stroke. You're suggesting shooters to get their fingers close to the trigger on the reload, this has a high opportunity/probability for discharging the round as soon as you've closed the bolt by inadvertently having one of other three fingers of your hand touch/tap the trigger.
